Doesn't make PowerPoints available to students after class lectures. Doesn't care if the students get the notes or not. Teaching way to much material for the time given. Material not covered thoroughly enough. Doesn't help students understand what is necessary for passing the tests.

She talks very fast, and there is an amazing amount of information for a 2 credit class (should be 4). She doesn't share her PPTs, so bring a recorder if you plan on taking notes. If she sees you taking notes, she will increase the speed of her lecture. Tests are gruelling. Otherwise a very fair, and nice teacher.

Very old school instructor, but she definitely knows her material well. Pat lets you know exactly what she wants with her assignments and expects it exactly as outlined, she is very picky but if you give her exactly what she asks for you'll do well. She expects to be notified if you're not going to be in class.

She is a very "old school" teacher, and she knows what she wants from her class. Absence is a complete no-no!Be nice and she'll be nice to you. Be VERY careful in lectures and give a lot of attention in doing homework. The tests are not easy As, so you have to throw in some real work (ProVoc for Mac is a life saver).I barely got an A on this class.

Pat is very detailed orientated, perhaps to the point were it is detrimental to the class. When you take her attend her classes regularly and pay attend not only is it easy points it helps get on her good side. If you're sick email her and let her know you won't be attending class, she typically will extend your deadline for assignments.

Worst professor I have had at GRCC. This was a two credit class that was taught like a 4 credit class. I am a good student and usually get A's in the majority of the classes I take. It would have been useful for the slides to have been shared with the students.Plan on READING the book. The tests will shock you, I was amazed by the trickiness, much more in depth than the presentation. There is an oral report, 2 quizzes and weekly homework needing to be emailed. Very nice old lady with surprising knowledgabilty.

This class is hard. but the Teacher will bend over backwards to help you succeed. She does have expectations that you read the material and prepare for class. If you do that, there is no reason you won't do well. I am thankful I had her for a teacher.

Way too much memorization of mostly useless terms for a 2 credit class. Old world teaching approach, doesn't make here slides available to view later so take lots of notes, make her wait while you copy them down. Only good thing she says is on day one, where she tells you that the class can be replaced by any CO 200 level class. Take this advice.

I wont deny that this class is difficult, because it is. Do the homework and study for the tests and you'll be fine. The lectures are pretty dull, but Pat is a nice little old lady unlike what a lot of people are saying on here. She WILL help you if you bother ask for help. Oh, and read the book. It's VERY dry, but it's worth reading.

Extremely helpful instructor. I missed a week and a half of class when I was sick and she didn't have a problem letting me make up the work afterwards. She is a little picky when grading assignments (perhaps too picky sometimes), but was very nice overall.

She is the only teacher who teaches this class, so watch out for her. She is very strict when it comes to paying attention and participating in the class. If you get her, get out of the class NOW! Unless you absolutely need the class for your degree. If the rating could go lower I would make it lower.

I took this class during the summer. It is a lot of work but the teacher is very helpful. The book gives step-by-step instructions on how to complete the assignments. I would recommend this teacher to anyone taking this class. I thought it was fairly easy and the teacher is willing to help you when you need help. Good Luck.

What a sweet lady. old school teaching style. (she makes you pay attention and listen) if you want to pass. I enjoyed her class and picked up a lot of useful information I can take into the business world with me! If you pay attention, and at least try to learn, she has a lot to offer. She has been the best teacher I have ever had at GRCC.

Mrs Higgins is the most patient, kind, helpful teacher I have ever had. Anyone not passing this class, did not do their homework. It was a tough course but she makes it so easy! She always allows extra time for homework completion. She made herself available for individual help.

She is one of the best teachers at the school. Students that have rated her badly must not have listened the first day. It did find the class difficult but I'm not as cumputer literate as most students. She went above and beyond to help me do well. I would take her for every class if it were possible.

If shes here, who's running hell? Wow, no help at all. The first day of class she informs you that you can possibly take a different class rather than co230. Run as fast as you can and don't look back. The textbook is no help for her assignments and asking her is a lost cause which makes the class a bit difficult.

If you want a teacher who has no experience in the field that she is teaching and can't answer more advanced questions that she should be able to answer because of their relevance, then Grandma Patricia Higgins is the right teacher for you! She sucks. Period. ****AVOID****

Professor is a real ball buster the first night. The class isn't very tough, however isn't very enlightening either. The couse is taught mainly from powerpoints. Some inacurate information. Instructor does a good job of validating information and pulling current events/numbers. Lots of HW however its all very easy. Be respectful and you'll do fine.
