Very good professor, best option by far for 101. She makes sure to go over the concepts multiple times during lectures which helps a lot.

Accounting is the most boring subject ever and Prof Anderson makes very little to change that. Very nice and caring but the lectures are boring, homework is due every week, and quizzes throughout the semester. You need to work so much to get a decent grade.

Professor Anderson is a super nice person and this by no means speaks to her personality, but I just found her teaching style lackluster and not engaging, especially online. Additionally, she gives absurdly difficult and long tests that are far worse than any practice exams you are given. Again, great person, not my favorite professor.

Professor Anderson designed her class really well for the pandemic and made sure to include lots of examples. Lectures are pretty good considering the dry material. Make sure you do every available practice problem before each exam.

Amazing class! Super manageable workload, most classes consisted of conversations about a topic. Can be a slow grader but the grading criteria is very clear. Highly recommend that people take this class if they get the opportunity.

Professor Anderson is a good teacher and cares about her students. Accounting is either for you or not--you will learn that very quickly. Work really hard to get good grades early as the class gets dramatically harder later in the semester. This class is TA based, so make sure to get as much help directly from Professor Anderson as possible.

I've had Anderson for Intro, Intermediate, & Advanced Accounting. Solid choice for Intro! Not so much for Intermediate & Advanced. This past semester she would upload practice material about 2-3 days before the exam, leaving absolutely no time to study. Would return test and project grades super late. Overall very disorganized.

Read before class, pay attention during class, read after class to ensure all is COPACETIC. Get your reps in cause ACCT101 is no breezy but Anderson is the best of the teachers, for sure.

she is very straightforward. no real surprises for assignments. for upcoming tests, she gives four years worth of past tests to study off of and the test is EXACTLY the same as those. do the past tests twice and all practice problems and the tests will be a breeze. case studies are kind of annoying but just get them done early with your group.

TAKE ANDERSON FOR ACCOUNTING 101! By far the most organized professor i've ever had at georgetown. She makes taking midterms and finals so much easier. She gives u all the past exam papers and the format is exactly the same, so just practice those and you can easily get an A.

Professor Anderson is the best! Her lectures are straightforward and easy to follow, and she is so kind, patient, and helpful. Made a class that could be pretty tough not that bad.

Comment:
Prof. Anderson is mediocre, at best. She is the head of the accounting dept and is thus really praised, however she really is overrated. Her lecture, are dry and solely based off the textbook and there is a huge gap between what is taught in class and what will be given on the exam. She also is not willing to help you out if you have difficulties

Comment:
Accounting if by far one of the hardest classes in the MSB. However, Prof Anderson takes it slow and explains things clearly. The only downside is she is slightly unorganized and focused more on her intro classes. She makes the material clear and takes her time while lecturing. Definitely the safest choice when it comes to accounting.

I took financial accounting with Anderson and really enjoyed her. You can tell she cares about her students. Tough class, but everyone has to take it and she's far better than the other accounting professors.

Prof. Anderson rocks. The first half of advanced accounting is pretty tough and the second half is easy but kind of boring, but Anderson makes me always want to go to class and learn the material. She's a solid choice for whatever accounting course you're taking.

Prof Anderson is the way to go. Most sought after accounting professor for a reason. Took three classes with her, honestly wish I could take more. Pretty clear cut and notes are thorough. She gets that the Advanced Accounting material is hard so the tests are not cumulative. She's really understanding, highly recommend.

Anderson does a great job of acting compassionate, but at the end of the day the tests are harder than she prepares you for. You will need to do significant studying on your own to master the material. She gives you the materials, but you have to have the drive. Don't get lulled into a false sense of security in this class.

If you're in the business school, you're forced to take 101. Anderson is probably the best professor to take it with. The class is just ridiculously hard because of the business school curve.

Professor Anderson rocks. Accounting 101 can be a challenging course, but I genuinely enjoyed this course with her. Anyone thinking about majoring in Accounting should definitely enroll in one of her sections.
