Absolutely incredible prof. He has a genuine care and love for his students and it shows in every aspect of the way he teaches. Content is not difficult by any means, but it is far easier and a lot more interesting when he's teaching it. Happy to have been a part of his class and thoroughly enjoyed a lot of our conversations after class.

Easy class, but you won't learn a lot. Takes up about a third of the class time with group work and presentation. Pretty much gives you the answers to the tests in class, just show up and he'll literally tell you when something is a test answer.

Brings up the mood by opening each session with "HELLO! HELLO! HELLO!" Amazing prof who cares about his students. Go to class & take note of his hints, which will almost always show up on the tests/exams. Group project was easy & open to whatever you're interested in - comprised of proposal, narrative summary and presentation. Highly recommend!!

Nobody: Dr. Hugh Simmonds: HELLO! HELLO!! HELLO!!! But for real, take this prof/course if you can. Show up or have friends that show up because he changes the grading scheme and course schedule pretty dramatically (for the better) and doesn't announce it online. I skipped 4 lectures and almost didn't realize he moved the final up 2 weeks early!

Honestly such a genuine prof. He cares about his students and makes sure youre having fun while learning. Just make sure you go to class because he gives hints for exams and youll do very well. I would take a class with him if I could!

Best prof i've ever had at Ryerson. Go to class and take down his hints, almost all of them will come up on the exams. Very caring and passionate prof, and knows his content very well. Honestly, your gpa will thank you for taking his class

He's an awesome professor, cares about each individual's grades and wants the best for you. Take his class and you can easily get a perfect 4.33 as long as you are attending his lectures and taking down the hints. (Took him during the summer course)

AMAZING professor. Makes me want to attend his morning lectures. Not a difficult class, just read the slides and pay attention in class and you will ace the course. A very friendly and caring man who does things in the best interest of his students. Highly recommended!!!
