Never take her class. She is super rude and definitely does not deserve to be even a teacher. She is lazy AF too and will never want to type much back to your emails. Don't even think about asking her for anything, she will just say no. She acts nice but she's a bi*ch. She is not considerate at all so DO NOT TAKE. I made such a mistake picking her

I wish I would've gone to this site prior to registering with her. She is not a good instructor at all. During the first half of the semester, I had 5 pending assignments to be graded (5-6 weeks not graded). You could write 5 pages of great writing but if you have 1 extra space you will get a B. Her posts have typos. Not helpful when you email.

Assignment guidelines are unclear, and if you don't follow implied rules then many points will be deducted. Assignments are due Friday, often in the same week and days after being explained. Turning in late (even by minutes) is a full letter grade penalty for each day. Nearly all assignments either contain a video component or are a group project.

I'm taking ENGL 1102 at Gwinnett Tech and Professor Purifoy is a really nice person, even though she's also a really tough grader. I do love the types of assignments she gives out as well as the format; we read stories, watch a movie, engage in discussion boards, etc.

This is honestly the worst professor at KSU. She is a beyond tough grader, the assignments are extremely confusing, and she explains everything poorly. Do not take this class. You will hate every second of your life.

Horrible teacher she does not give feedback on your writing and when ask how can you improve your writing she is not clear on it. Gives you 5 days to do an essay. Also grades late never on time

This professor is the most unclear professor I have ever come across. She gives very little instructions and answers questions vaguely. She is also an extremely tough grade. For example you have an introduction assignment on yourself and it wasn’t uncommon for students to get 90’s on a introduction of themselves.

Professor Purifoy is a very tough grader. Expect to only receive B's and lower on everything. She is unbelievably unclear about everything which makes it difficult to get the work done. The rubrics and information are vague and she is terrible at explaining how to do them. If you do not like dystopian literature then this is not the class for you.

She was a very tough grader and made it worse by not being specific on what the criteria was. Was not very helpful when asking questions and wasnt available outside of class. I would not take her if i had another choice.

Even though the class is easy, she was very unclear on what exactly she wanted us to do for assignments. Textbook reading is also mandatory, she will know if you haven't read it. Although she's enjoyable during lectures, there really is no instruction and I personally can't say there's anything I've taken away from the class.

She was a great teacher a good amount of home work but it was very easy. She gives 3 essays which are not very long & easy but does require writing center. Attendance is mandatory for her! Shes a great teacher very funny & sympathetic to any issues u have. I would take her again and I do recommend! As long as you do the work your good!

She assumed everyone had read Divergent & gave us one week to write an essay on it. Didn't list it in the syllabus or mention it beforehand. Very harsh grader with abysmal feedback. She clearly thinks she is superior to her students & dodges the question if you ask her for help or to explain her decision. Worst professor I've ever had by a mile

This class was just kind of a joke, we only read 1 book the whole semester (Fahrenheit 451). There were weekly writing responses and some bigger writing assignments as well, but it had the difficulty level of somewhere below a ninth-grade English class. If you're looking for an easy A, she's fine; if you want to grow as a writer, take someone else.

Class is fun but tough. Class time is enjoyable, lots of group projects, be prepared to do some minor public speaking. Pretty extensive homework every week, and the essays and final project are not easy. But Purifoy's lectures are enjoyable and I felt like I could go to her for help if needed. Her essay feedback could have been more detailed.

Horrible grader, incredibly unhelpful, gives feedback which not only doesnt make sense, but offers nothing constructive to benefit you as a student at all. Whats worse is that when you try to email her to get an explanation of her feedback, she just explains that she didnt make any mistakes and that its your fault if you dont understand. AVOID

Loads of group work, and presenting. Decently tough grader, but not that difficult of a class.
