IMO an overhyped professor. However, she is a good lecturer. She really cares about a lot of her students and takes time to explain complicated topics to those who are confused. Tests were fair.

Get ready to teach yourself! She didn't teach the first half of the quarter but instead sent us an unlisted playlist on youtube that had 1.5k+ views (reused videos). MATLAB (10% of your grade) was never taught and when asked questions the professor pushed HER RESPONSIBILITY of teaching the students onto underpaid tutors. What did she get paid for?

She's AMAZING!! She's open to answering any/all questions. She'll NEVER make you feel stupid for asking a question!! She'll gladly go back and explain previous problems or steps to solve a problem. She is super flexible with due dates and grading. Cannot recommend her enough! Lowest HW/ Quiz grades get dropped. Weekly Hw & Quizzes every other week.

quizzes are not like material learned. avoid her at all costs. may be nice, but she’s not that great in teaching and makes too many mistakes. Doesn’t even know what’s on the syllabus.

I failed precalc at my CC and I was so nervous retaking it at UCSD, but Professor Anzaldo is freakin amazing! I got an A in the class, with 100% on the final. Her lectures enable me to understand math so I feel confident. Her practice exam for the final was truly helpful and prepared me well for the final. Taking her again for Calc I and II!!!!!!!!

Professor Anzaldo was literally the sweetest professor ever. She made sure to cover all the material we needed in order to succeed on homework/tests/the final. She really makes sure we understand topics and won't assign homework unless we completely go through each topic. 100/10 recommend.

Overall the class itself is pretty manageable, but the Professor tends to be confused herself and has a lot of mistakes when lecturing, causing students to be confused.

Really sweet professor, you have 5 quizzes throughout the quarter, theyre based off the written hw, if you don't understand the written hw go to office hours she'll help you, online hw have helpful videos. 20 late passes to use throughout the quarter and if we didnt get through something in the lecture she would extend deadlines, very sweet

I found the class very easy given that I had learned the content during Summer Bridge. HW due every week and quizzes every other week. No midterm, just the final. She gives you notes every lecture to look back on. She is nice about going back and explaining the math. Hold office hours and is open to helping students out. She is super nice!

Professor Anzaldo is not an accessible outside-of-class professor. The few times I have emailed her I did not get a response back. I had to self-teach myself because lectures were not useful. Unless you are looking for a non-mandatory attendance class and can self-teach yourself the content, do not take this class.

Professor Anzaldo is the best math professor at UC San Diego. Period. Her lectures are amazingly clear and she puts a lot of care into ensuring students understand the material. I SUCKED at math before taking 20A under her guidance, now I finally feel like I just... get it! She is THE epitome of fantastic teaching at UC San Diego.

Prof. Anzaldo is my favorite math professor at UCSD! I had her for Math 18 and 20B and she was amazing for both. The lectures had examples and were easy to understand after doing the homework by following the lecture examples. Her biweekly quizzes are really fair and she drops 1-2 quizzes. I really recommend her so take her if you can :)

60% Quizzes/15% Final sounds nerve-wracking until you actually take her exams. Usually the problems look like problems straight out of the homework so there don't expect many surprises on them. She also drops the lowest quiz. Super accessible through Discord/Email. Lectures were incredible, never took notes, did all the homework fine, and I passed

Prof the goat. Her lectures cover the topics well, has clear examples, good pacing, and are explained thoroughly. If you take notes on the lectures then you'll understand how to do the homework and pass the class. Before quizzes go over the theorems to refresh yourself on the topic then you'll be fine.

I had her for 2 quarters. Her lectures are super informative and thorough, you wont need the text book if you take good lecture notes. The questions on the quizzes and exams are fair and resemble what is discussed in lectures and homework. She really cares about her students' learning and mental health and is an overall really good prof.
