I took four classes with Greg when I was a math major many years ago. Greg is a hardass and assignments/tests are tough. This said, I learned more in Greg classes than with any other professor. Greg put a ton of effort into his lectures and it showed. Interesting homework/exams. Great prof if you really want to learn the material.

Greg is awesome. He makes calc super fun and is always open to help out. His video lectures are great as well. Think Bob Ross but for math. I highly recommend Greg to anyone willing to put in the effort.

Greg is a good prof. He has 2 midterms and weekly quizzes which are sometimes oral explaining theory behind the topic and sometimes written. His quizzes are fairly easy compared to his midterms which can be very hard. There are 3 webwork assignments every week which can range from 10 to 20 questions. A good prof but heavy on theory and proofing.

Really liked how the lecture templates are online and you fill in the proofs and such in class, he seemed to be pretty organized for the most part. As for the math part of the course, it was very proof heavy, which for someone with no proof experience, was quite the challenge. I wish he would've gone over some general proofs in the beginning.

I am normally good at doing math but I don't enjoy preparing for the exam and re-doing all the questions. With Greg I actually started to enjoy math. He is friendly. you always feel comfortable to ask questions in front of the class or in private. I would definitely take him again.

His grading is tough but reasonable- if you think it's unreasonable, go talk to him during office hours and you will get a better understanding of where you went wrong. You really need to know the material in depth, which first year students likely aren't used to. Lectures are engaging, interesting, and easy to follow.

Awesome Professor, would highly recommend. Expects upper level students to Latex assignments, but provides a lot of assistance for students new to it. Likes to use pop quizzes, but they tend to be worth few marks and mostly serve to check that students are keeping up with the material.

Lectures through slides on tablet. He moves at a quick pace, however provides a template of the lessons to facilitate note taking. Homework through webassign assigned after every class, although reasonable in length. Assigns optional reading and problems from text, extremely useful for studying. Overall an awesome professor.

Greg is a really great math professor. He really knows his stuff and explains it well - expect to actually learn a lot of applicable math if you take a class with Greg. He's a really funny guy, and he makes abstract mathematical topics really enjoyable. Yes, his tests and homework assignments are difficult. But I take math courses to learn math ;)

Yes, he is a tough grader, but an excellent professor. Really takes his time to go through the material and make sure everyone understands. Really clear about what he expects, though his tests are pretty difficult. If you're used to slacking off and still doing well, learn how to study asap because that isn't going to work anymore.

bad explanations and doesn't go into detail with anything, only does the most basic stuff. Uses webassign but never explains how to do the questions, basically expects you to spend all your time outside of class doing math

Greg Schlitt is a really great prof; he always makes class really interesting and engages the students well. He's funny, and quick witted, and always knows the material well. He uses the projector and a tablet and writes on the slides and then publishes the digital copies of the slides, I find it to be a pretty nice format. Fully recommend.

Really enjoyed his lectures, he took his time and was always willing to answer questions. Had him for both 111/112. He is a tough, but fair marker. Definitely wants his students to understand the material thoroughly.

So judging from others' comment here, if you're looking for an easy class you can frequently skip and still pass, Greg is not your guy. So, slackers beware. I was interested in learning something, and his class is a great place to do that.

Took Greg for Calculus 111, he's a great teacher if calculus is your thing or if you have a lot of time to dedicate to this class. I'm not the strongest math student and definitely need a lot of help and Greg will not tell you the answers the questions but more try to drop hints and hope you get it yourself, which doesnt help if you dont understand

If you don't know your stuff and you try to skip class, you're not going to do well. That being said, he's an extremely boring lecturer. He does know his stuff and he is helpful so if you wanna learn calculus he's the guy you wanna go to. His deathly boring lectures may destroy whatever excitement you have for math.
