Class was useful but easy. 3 papers which BASICALLYYYY require you to summarize his lectures. I didn't mind the first 2 but the last one killed me. I didn't want to learn about Jesus lol. Boring and waste of time but EASY A so just take him if you need to take a history class. Just summarize his lectures (include a lot of info for higher grade.)

Terrible professor. Focused on religion and seems like he's trying to make you convert. Only three papers for the semester with no midterm or final.

The class is based on three papers. The papers are easy if you take notes in class and write down everything he said. Professor Trumbach doesnt have a computer so you have to come to class to hand in the papers and ask questions. When we transition to online, we were replace with a different professor.

Professor Trumbach does not have a computer. When classes moved online we were not contacted by Trum until a month after. Then we got a replacement profesor who graded all 3 of our papers. Makes you work for it.

Not a bad Class. Professor Trumbach seems to be grumpy all the time but his knowledge on the subject. Be prepared to take notes in class because thats what the papers are about. They're three papers all with a rigid format with no writing skills involved.

As we transitioned to online, he vanished and left us with two papers that were due in May, with absolutely zero guidelines on them. I assume they consist of just regurgitation of summary but it feels like a waste of energy to write them and they are such a large part of the class grade.

clear grading criteria, a lecture based class in which you have to take notes of literally everything he says in order to not be confused and lost when you're writing the essay. The essays are literally regurgitating the information he speaks abt in class, in a rigid format, no creativity or writing skills involved. Inflexible and boring, in sum.

Trust me his lecturers are worth listening to! The readings are kinda boring but he does not read it in class, instead, he tells you stuff that are not inside the book, which is why the class is intriguing! 3 papers in a semester, you can rewrite the first two. Take note of every word he said, it will come in handy when you write your papers.

Prof. Trumbach isn't that bad but this class is difficult. There are lots of homework to write and you need to read a lot of pages before the class. Three papers in the whole semester. You need to pay attention to the class and take notes(sometimes he talked really fast and I can't follow it) If you talk in class, he will definitely embarrass you.

Professor Trumbach wasn't all that bad. At first I thought he would be a difficult professor to get along with since he can be rude but in all honesty he's not that bad. Just don't talk, go on social media, and pay attention to class and you'll be fine. Being that I like history most of his lectures are pretty interesting.

3 Essays, 2 of which you can re-write. The essay's aren't that hard as long as you take notes during the lecture and copy them to your essay. I actually found his lectures to be quite interesting but I can see why many don't. He is VERY rude when it comes to talking AT ALL in class or if you don't bring your book. Avoid those and you'll be fine.

There was three Essay for this class. Two were based on in class lectures not to bad. The third one was based on three books that we are supposed to read. The lectures are pretty boring drink coffee before class or you will fall asleep. If you try somewhat on the essays you should receive an A.

Always bring your book to class, and actually read it. Write down EVERYTHING he says, or bring tape recorder. Papers are easy if you do so. He gives you the chance to rewrite the papers. Attendance counts, don't be late.

This class is okay. Three papers that are to be 6 pages long based on class discussions. That being said, it's very important to show up to class and actually pay attention. I found him to be rude towards some kids when they couldn't answer something in class. ALWAYS BRING YOUR BOOKS TO CLASS!

Lots of little homework assignments, all based on readings. You can rewrite papers, three in total, for a higher grade, which can be submitted at any point throughout the semester. All papers are based on the notes in class; attendance is a must! If you're there everyday and jot down EVERYTHING he says, this class will be pretty straight forward.

Hate that i think hes a good prof bc hes super old fashioned and strict, but tells you everything that needs to go into paper and is sometimes interesting even though i hate history. 3 long papers and some written homeworks. take notes from lectures and you should be fine

Trumbach assigns three papers completely based off of the text and his lectures. Do all of the HW or else! No tests. He is old so be aware of his old fashion skills. Believes his way is the only way. Received 2 A's for the first two papers, did all of my HW, and got an A- for final grade. I'm sure my last paper was well written. So I'm iffy w him.

Get ready to write 3 tough papers. The class isn't difficult content-wise but there is A LOT of reading and the teaching style is sometimes disorganized. You need to be at class and take notes to understand what he wants you to put into the papers. Professor is not the most personable, but he's funny at times and the subject is interesting.

He is the BEST!! Follow his instructions and please please please do NOT do any plagiarism because he will notice it and do not talk while he is talking. Also, write as much as you can so you have a good base for the essays. Not test just 3 papers and a few homework assignments. Go over the topics before the class.
