Comment:
I took her for MHR 741, she was more organized. Participation was messed up in MHR 841, even if you participate, you will not get 100. The course wasn't as organized and the marking for the group project was so much tougher. In lectures she is more open to ideas, papers are not marked as easily. Page limits are unrealistic. Nice prof, hard marker.

Pat is a really nice prof but the course is useless. Assignments were done in groups and they were pretty easy. The only bad thing is that she sets unrealistic page limits and you probably won't be able to fit everything shes looking for. Grading is fair though

This is a required course for HR students. Pat is a good professor but lectures can go a bit long. She is sometimes engaging but this course is a bit pointless. You are put into groups and have to sit with them the entire semester. She is a bit of a hard marker so make sure you understand her expectations and refer to the textbook.

Comment:
Pat is nice but the way she marks is way too strict. She wants details but sets unreasonable page limits on assignments and then cuts marks for going over. So many team assignments worth 30% of the final grade. The slides aren't very clear and the textbook costs 90 bucks because the quizzes are mandatory. Overall would not take her again.

Pat is an overall good prof. The course 741 however is an absolute joke with heavy assignments and mandatory group meetings. If you have the choice between pat and genevieve make sure you choose pat! She gives good feedback if you have questions about assignments but certain things aren't given very clear guidelines

741 is a useless course, don't know why its mandatory for HR students. We had to pay $90 for homework. Pat however, is very nice and approachable. The course is all group work so hope you get paired with a good group. She marks a bit tough so pro tip: relate everything to the textbook concepts/theories. No midterm, and final is a lot of writing.

Really good prof and the midterm was relatively easy but the final was impossible too much information and no clear idea what to actually study.

This teacher was the hardest grader I've had at Ryerson yet. This was supposed to be an easy class but ended up being the hardest class I took this semester. She graded both my assignments that I worked hard on very low and when I asked for a remark she graded them even lower! Would never recommend.

This course seriously takes a lot of work. You will be put in a random group that you would have to work with for the whole semester (so many group assignments and big projects). It's a hit or a miss. However, she is a really kind and approachable professor. She makes every class engaging. The exam required so much writing but was easy.

Comment:
Professor Sniderman is by far the hardest professor for MHR523, her marking is very harsh, even remarking the work marked by the seminar leaders because "they are too lenient". Her exams are far longer and harder than the other classes (ex. 17 hard long answer questions for the midterm, whereas other classes all had 11-12 easy questions). Stay away

Sweetest prof you will ever meet, asked our class how she could improve the exam so its easier for the class. Made a lot of people go into human resource since she makes it so interesting. Gives non graded quizzes every week to review what we did last week and it helps a lot. Go to class and take a lot of notes you will be good.

Pat is very sweet and dedicated to her job. She loves teaching and she takes it very seriously, it's only difficult when the students get talkative and she's so kind it makes it hard for her to get a hold on the class. Her grading is pretty tough, a bit unfair really when you see the criteria on the rubric. Assignments are easy when not in groups.

Pat is head of the HR department and does the recruitment for all the HR stuff at rye. That being said, her class was the hardest HR class for first year compared to other profs. She's cute and sweet, kinda corky, but she takes things seriously. Go to the lectures, follow along on powerpoints as the info comes up on the exams. READ THE TEXTBOOK TOO

I like our class discussions - participation is key. She makes it very engaging. However, she is a tough marker. Group project was very stressful and we tend to get a mark ranging from 50-60. Study hard for the final as it will boost up your mark. Got a B best that I can do since group project was very low. Attendance is also mandatory.

She's a kind and wonderful professor, but she is a tough grader. Make sure you really understand the concepts so that you ace the assignment criteria. Participation matters and she takes note who participates. She also has quizzes at the beginning of her powerpoints (no marks, thankfully) but they are helpful for reviewing last week's materials.

Overall I would say Pat Sniderman is a good professor who cares about her students. However she can be a tough grader. Definitely do not memorize the concept, but understand it.

She's a nice prof and tries to encourage students to participate. She reviews the previous lecture by asking potential midtermexam questions. This helps to make you see if you really know your stuff. Her lecture slidesfiles are not organized with many slides from last week's lecture to current. She often has trouble controlling her class.

Comment:
Pat is such a nice prof and person. She has a genuine interest in her field and it is evident throughout the lectures. The course itself in my opinion was a rather boring one but she tried her best to keep the class entertained. The midtermfinal were based on her lectures, slides and textbook and were fair. Overall very good prof.
