Very nice intelligent older chap. He's cool bc he will let you make up work/turn it in late, lets you know what you owe, but his tests are pretty hard & he is not an easy grader.

While I found professor Hazzard to be very intelligent I did not appreciate his constant comments about how commuter schools and long islanders were essentially a joke. Personality aside he demands quality writing which I appreciate, but I did not take a lot away from the class other then personal frustration.

The class is almost impossible to make it through without closing your eyes for a while every few minutes. It really dosen't get any more boring than this but if you read the book you will do fine.

I had no issues with Professor Hazzard. This was technically the second time I took him and he is good. This class was 3 hours and only 6 kids in it.He usually lets us go early(maybe a half hour early). He knows what he is talking about. I am hoping he is still teaching one course next semester so i can take him again. I definitely recommend him.

really smart guy, knows what he's talking about...soc 212 was pretty dry just because of the material we had to cover, but if you study and do the readings the class is pretty easy. soc of religion was just him talking, and doing research and book reviews outside of class...but the class was still really interesting and fairly easy to do well in

Prof. Hazzard is a very well spoken, intelligent man. But dont confuse this w/saying he is easy. His class doesnt make u want to kill urself but def listen to what he says during class things will make much more sense. He is helpful when asked & yes he is opinionated but so is everyone & at least his arguments have a point. I highly recommend him

I would prob. not take him again. I found for a sociologist he was rather opinonated and put down St. Joseph's students. He always made me feel like I was not good enough and that he was better than all of us. "I do not see you working at Harvard Prof. Hazzard so I would not be so harsh about St.Joseph's students. You are one of us!"

A rather talented teacher. You will learn about the subject even if you are not in the least interested in doing so. Unfortunatly Professor Hazzard seems to be pro women's rights. On the upside, however, he is a nice guy as other posters have mentioned

Worst Teacher Ever!!! Thinks he knows everything. Unfair grader. You have to be shakespeare to get a good grade on his papers. Test has nothing to do what he talks about in Class. Never reviews for anything. Take any other teacher besides him. I will never take him again!!!

I have taken many professors at St. Joe's, and Hazzard is unfair and so obnoxious. He keeps you the whole time, and talks about unrelated information. His class was torture, and he assigned 2 500 word essays and gave you one week to complete them. OVERALL, he SUCKED, and was UNFAIR!
