Prof. McGeary is super sweet and cares so much about Geology. Tests were easy, she gives study guides that ask super similar questions to the exams. Textbook is not necessary but definitely helps. Labs were simple and supported what we were learning in class. Lectures could be a bit boring, but she tries her best to make it entertaining!

I didnt mind her until it came down to the grading at the end of the semester and she decided she didnt want to round anyone even if they were 0.03!!!! away from a letter grade which I think is crazy considering people work hard for their grades and she wouldnt even round someone who was 0.03 away! Keep that in mind when taking this class

She's a nice lady but the class is just unnecessarily hard. The tests have barely any multiple choice. Lots of fill in the blank and drawing diagrams that are just confusing. Lots of clicker points so you need to go to class. All day field trip that is also very annoying and pointless. Tbh I would try to find an easier geol class try geol105.

She cares so much about what she's teaching & it shows. Make sure you do the entire study guide and go to class; she gives you a lot of info about what will be on exams. Only thing that sucked was that some of the questions on the exams were fill in the blank, but if you know the material, you'll get a good grade. Wish I took my own advice earlier.

I wish GEOL113 was easier since the majority of people who take it are non-majors. Exams were hard but she curves them. There is an all day, incredibly boring field trip to the Delaware coast. She is very nice but her class is boring and hard

In a lecture class of 150 people, you have group work and the labs like always are pointless and graded toughly. There is a mandatory field trip, but Sue is actually really caring and tries to make it fun. There is multiple labs outside and a project at the end. Even if you do bad on the test you'll still pass because there are a lot of grades.

I really liked McGeary. Definitely take notes on what she says in class because the power points aren't enough. Her exams come right from the study guides and she is extremely passionate about what she teaches. You do have to study and attend class though.

She is a good person, but terrible teacher. Exams are worth way too much of the grade, especially when she is a tough grader. The lectures are way too fast to listen to here and take notes, so get ready to take extra hours reading the textbook with her 'reading guide.' You need to do an online quiz homework before EVERY CLASS. Labs are worthless!

Professor McGeary is a good professor. However, the class is not as easy as it may seem. Exams consist of multiple choice, as well as fill-in-the-blank and true/false. Not as easy as other GEOL courses at UD. Labs are also a bit difficult. As a professor, she is fine; posts the slides online. Frequent quizzes that you can take up to 3 times each.

Class was easy, clicker questions so you wanna go to class. 3 exams, homework that is super easy and boosts your grade. Prof wants you to do good and is willing to answer any questions you ask. Class is pretty interesting and the lab isn't too bad either.

This class is by no means an easy A. 2 exams worth 20% of your final grade were pretty challenging and the final exam was 30%. However besides the exams everything else in the class was super easy. She's a really nice professor too. Put in the time and study for the exams and you'll be fine

There are online quizzes that are due about ever week and half, but they are not difficult. The quizzes can be taken up to three times. She provides a study guide for each exam and the material on the study guide is consistent with the material on the exams. She allows each student to miss 3 in-class assignments. She uses UD capture.

Isn't the most interesting class but there are many ways to boost your grade. Exams are ok, fair and from the notes. She puts powerpoints online, don't bother taking notes. Study guides have most test info on it, so do it. Lab is easy, just look up quiz answers online and do clicker points. I love that she's enthusiastic & wants students to do well

Tests are difficult. Lectures are super long and boring. When you ask for help, she doesn't give it to - makes you look it up on UD Capture. She's knowledgeable in her field, but not helpful or nice.

Such a sweetheart; she's really passionate about the subject content. Attendance not mandatory but clicker questions count. Online quizzes (multiple choice) after each chapter BUT type the question into google and an entire Quizlet pops up bc that's where the questions come from. Do the study guides she gives you for the exams--they help a lot!

Rocks for Jocks is a lie. This class was the worst mistake of my college career; find another lab science to take because this one is downright boring and painful. She refuses to round up(I was .125 away and she knocked me off Dean's List) and the only extra credit she gives is a half point on the final. Take a different course if you can.
