this guy is the man. he looks just like Einstein and is probably just as smart but rambles a lot and tells crazy stories (very entertaining) in the middle of lecture. Tests just like the practice tests until some idiot told him they were and asked if we actually had to know what he told us since it wasnt in the prac. one. but very liberal grader.

Professor Gilbert is everything I aspire to be when I begin teaching. He's extremely knowledgeable, nigh incomprehensible, and seriously interesting. He explains what will be on tests before you take them, study the text and you will do fine. Classes are a bit confusing but invaluable, I wouldn't recommend missing one if you can help it.

Pretty interesting. But I was always confused what he talked about. It seems that he always talk about the example and few principles. But he will send us pratical test before the mid-exams or final. And these are quite useful which help me to get A.

He was very confusing, taught way ahead of where he should have and showed up to class late most of the time but for some reason I loved him. His stories are hilarious and he looks like einstein. If you go to the discussion the TA is helpful and reading the book helps too. Hes a fairly easy grader gives partial credit and overall is not that bad.

very nice guy. not a great teacher, but not bad compared to many other profs. just read the book; lectures aren't too useful. happy to help with questions. also, if you ask, HE'LL TELL YOU WHAT EACH PROBLEM ON THE TEST WILL BE ON. one time he even let us choose what would be on the next test. if no other prof with rating > 3.8, take this

Very smart guy but worthless as a teacher. Expects too much from students, talks to the board, just does useless examples. Tests are difficult and you have to teach yourself the material.

hilarious guy, a mix between Albert Einstein and Woody Allen but he's too smart for his own good. Can't communicate the concepts well and pretty much just mumbles into the board the whole time. When he does turn around though, his stories are pretty amazing. Tests are difficult, teach yourself from the book.

I couldn't learn anything from him - never understood what he said. He does say bizarre things in class - makes it interesting, but only if you can understand him.
