Comment:
Dr. Carter is certainly a very kind person but often times she had no idea what she was talking about. She was very uninformed about the LGBTQ community was overall very heteronormative. She also made it clear that people should only love themselves if they are skinny and healthy (very offensive). I would not take her again or recommend her.

if ur taking this as a core for an easy A don't take her. No one is allowed to use the bathroom and lateness is not tolerated. I switched out. Pricey text book is required. She said that we were to be reading the newspaper for presentations (every week) and the textbook would be required/would give pop quizzes to make sure we were reading. A mess

Don't have your phone out, she will stop in the middle of class to tell you to put it away, come to class on time she takes attendance every class. You have about 3 self Assessments and 3 tests. Each tests is about 5-6 chapters of material. Overall an okay professor. She generally cares about you passing the class and having a good understanding.

Dr. Carter is a wonderful professor. I took this class to fulfill a gen ed requirement. It was not a walk in the park... you have to work for your grade a bit but the class was great. Lots of group discussions (even if you don't participate often, its fun). Exams were doable- just look over the material and pay attention to what she says in class.

Lillian Carter is a wonderful woman. I have never enjoyed a professor as much as I have enjoyed her. She is non-judgemental, open-minded, and very passionate about teaching. She assigns readings, but there is not a lot of work in the class besides 3 exams, 2 projects, and participation points. Be respectful and participate and you will do just fine

She is the sweetest lady. Do not have your phone out she is very pick about that. Attendance is graded. 3 projects- i got perfect scores on all of them and one presentation. The tests were pretty easy and she gives extra credit. No one takes notes in class so a lot of the times were just sitting there listening to her powerpoints which she posts

Dr. Carter is an expert on human sexuality. Her class combines well-prepared lectures with fun (and sometimes funny) group activities. This class is a chance to make some new friends, laugh, have fun, and learn about modern relationships. Dr. Carter does take attendance at the beginning of each class, but you won't want to miss any of it anyway!

Dr. Carter is AMAZING. Her class is a reasonable work load, she wants her students to succeed, she is the sweetest person ever, and she is willing to help people out who need it. I thought the assignments were interesting (there is a lot of group work though). Work hard, pay attention, and it's not a difficult class.

The best professor I've had since I've been at Towson. Probably the best I'll have in my college experience! Such a kind and loving soul, really cares about the subjects and wants to see her students succeed. Loved her

Guys I LOVED this lady. There are a lot of in class activities but she made them really fun. It's a good way to learn about yourself. You do have to study from the texts for the tests but they are mainly stuff covered in class. Only 2 easy projects. Make sure you have good attendance and you will be fine! Loved her and would take the class again!

Sexuality in a Diverse Society is a great class, especially with Dr. Carter. A chance to discuss and learn about sexuality, romance, and culture, while meeting lifelong friends and maybe learning a thing or two about yourself. The class is a good balance of lectures, projects, and group in-class activities.

Felt like a high school course with the amount of group activities done in class for no credit. Attendance is mandatory. Hard tests, but there are extra credit opportunities. 2 papers which were easy and graded pretty easy which helped with test grades.

Lillian is a sweetheart. She cares about your academic success and overall well being. She totally understands how college students are stressed out and does not assign much work. Her tests are slightly difficult only because they coincide with the book, and not her in class power points. It's easy to do well in this class

100% unreasonable when it comes to attendance. She will take points away if you are 30 seconds late to her class. She watches the clock, she actually watches the clock for that. Not only this, but she does not teach anything, nothing. She has exams on around 7 chapters at a time and has lectured on exactly 0 chapters. It's all group games. Avoid!!!

I do not have enough good things to say about her! She is super smart and always willing to help. There's a fair amount of assignments, but she tells you exactly how to get an A. She's fun, positive, and approachable, and I would definitely take a class with her. She's one of the best professors I've had at Towson so far!

This honors seminar was called: Becoming Sexually Healthy. Very practical class. Many assignments, but not difficult. She loves everything you do as long as you put in effort. She is the most positive prof. I know. She loves life, love what she teaches and loves her students! She really cares! Take her if you can, she's a wonderful woman!
