Was a decent professor... Basic Photoshop and Cinema4D class. It was pretty easy... I have gotten all A's and B's so far in the class. His lectures are decent, but I already have Photoshop experience, and C4D is easy to pick up on. Just watch tutorials online and the ones he provides and you'll pass the class no problem..

i had Derick for digital cinema. he is not a super talkative guy. he does explain things. but even if you dont listen (as i imagine most people dont) you can easily learn final cut on youtube. what makes him a good teacher is his critique. he doesn't BS when it comes to grading. put in the effort and your grade with show it.

Looks like 6/11/08 needs some kleenex for the tears. I am guessing 6/11/08 was mad because he/she had a bad day. Well, I took this Winter 09 and I did great, not going to lie. There is no good or bad side, just be there in class if web is new for you. He always helps you when you have a question. And he CAN actually HELP you, unlike Ellis (HA!)

Daric was a good prof who was willing to help in and out of class. Grades pretty easy and fair on the projects for the intro class. Gives good feedback in critiques. Shows some really good professional work, though more would be nice. Encourages you to be creative with your pieces and do something never done before Really likes interaction in class

Be warned Daric is useless if you are not on his good side. He is straight up rude and inconsiderate if you approach him for help. His lectures are a rambling mess. He will cancel class OFTEN and will not grade your projects for MONTHS. He makes up excuses for not doing his job. Take Steve Larson if you have a choice.

Daric is friendly, he cracks corny jokes, but is a genuine good guy. He expects you to put a lot of effort into your work, and appreciates a dedicated student. If you slack off and don't come to class, he doesn't care, so GO TO CLASS, TAKE NOTES, and put a good amount of work into your projects and you'll do fine. He's easy to talk to/easy going.

Daric is an overall good prof. He has lots of knowledge about film. Tends to have some boring lectures, but they aren't that bad. Tough grader and makes you work for it. Kinda stuck on the whole "cliche" thing, but then again, what isn't cliche among college students?

Christian will drive you up the wall. His lectures are rambling sessions with random nuggets of gold tucked into them, so listen as much as you can. Never tells you exactly what you did right/wrong unless you approach him. The material is incredibly useful, so take exellent notes. Food-related websites usually do well :)

A tough grader, grades comparing you to other students, no As for effort. Maybe a bit too tough for 100 level, but I didn't feel unjustified with any of my grades. I learned a lot.

He is a good teacher from the stand point that he is passionate about the material. He is not a good lecturer. I felt the lectures to be pointless. The exercises held more importance to learning the material. His grading is tough, you really have to work for the better grades. He is a tough grader.

The people who get good grades in his class do good work. The people who do not get good grades do crap. I would have grades my classmates the same. I got A's.

When Daric wasn't busy with his 3% of the class who already learned what he had to "teach" he was miserable toward the students who were there to learn (you know, who paid money). He sucks as a "professor" - he is a decent artist in his own right, but he has no business teaching anyone else.

Comment:
If I had to hear this star trek dork say the word " cheesy" and "Cliché" one more time I would puke on myself. Grading process makes no sense what so ever. I would half ass something and get a good grade. Then I would pour my soul into another project and get poor grade.
