Comment:
This professor pretends to care about the students in their course yet pays no attention to the labs, which if done properly will take upwards of 20 hours. The TA's have no direction or clue of what to do and are solely left to mark the labs. I feel sorry for anyone who has to take this course it can ruin your view of McMaster. The labs ruin 2A04.

The format of this class is indeed very interesting. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't have anything to write, but Dr. Turak was helpful to offer me tips on picking a topic that I liked. The writing process was still somewhat painful but it was all worth it. I just saw my published journal article online and it felt amazing! Thank you Dr. Turak!

If you're taking her thermo class and you're in physics, you'll have a bad time as the course basically assumes you're an engineer since she makes a lot of references to engineering courses such as Materials and Quantum. Her classes are very boring, she forces participation in tutorials, and she made everyone buy a $27 iClicker substitute.

This is really a hard course that it's easy to get lost. Fortunately the professor is easy to talk to and she's willing to stay after class to answer questions. I like her way of drawing out things on the screen and even though there were technical issues it is still kind of funny. Assignments and exams are not as bad as I first thought.

Slides are uninformative and she skips over a lot of details. I hadn't done a single bit of chemistry since first year (mechatronics major), and she assumes massive amounts of chemistry knowledge that I did not have, and provided no way of gaining it. Thinks she is superior to students. She's the only one who teaches the course and it's unfortunate
