This class was one of the toughest I have taken, but that's good. I found it challenging & very interesting. Material was fun to learn about! Especially interactive video assignments and case studies.Very particular on memorization of disorders & how they are treated. Particularly, knowing & understanding behaviors or being able to treat a client.

It was a very put together organized course. Well structured PowerPoints. Discussion posts questioned us and made us think and let us spread our knowledge by seeing our classmates posts. Also helps your understanding of the course. Do your work and you'll just be fine.

Course was very interesting and can be used in everyday life. I really enjoyed the content of the course. I was hesitant about an online class and book but feel I retained more in this class then I have in other classes. Homework assignments helped me better understand info, quizzes or exams were very fair and matched content of chapters.

This course had great relevance to my field of study. I'm hoping to work in hospital settings so this will be very helpful as we discussed what each drug or substance does to the mind. I may encounter clients with substance abuse problems so this class is helpful. The subject matter on the different kinds of drugs and effects was very interesting.

The subject matter (psychological disorders) is very interesting in my opinion. I really enjoyed this course. I liked being able to interact with the case studies and videos. By having both reading and videos I was able to learn and understand material and it was easy to follow along with. Made me want to pursue a career in the field of psychology

Excellent class. I even asked to complete several assignments ahead of time. The professor allowed me to work ahead which was a good part of the class. I learned a lot, would definitely recommend taking it! Cases and videos were enjoyable, made it easier to learn a difficult subject. The interactive cases were my favorite, would enjoy more!

Class was very interesting, and information I had never heard about. This was a good class to learn what's out there in the way of substance abuse and mental illness. It was beneficial to my career and I hope to apply what I have learned here to my job. We covered more information than I thought we would, just didn't realize how in depth subject is

Very informative and interesting class. Very relevant for how to interact with individuals experiencing mental difficulties and how to help them. I will be working with youth at risk so it corresponds very well and focused directly on my areas of interest. Great content and material covered, course kept me challenged to learn and interested.

Great teacher for online class. always answered emails on time and would say hi to even his online only students in the hallway. Class was difficult but easy to pass. A lot of extra credit options were made available and assignments did not take up a lot of time.

Really easy class. He's a nice guy but understandably comes off as anxious while lecturing. Rarely takes attendance. The book as well as Homework/Quizzes are all online. Only things not online are the 3-4 page paper and the final.

I took him for online Psy and thought it was pretty fair. The textbook online is heavily used, so I recommend you buy it. Quizzes were a bit difficult. But everything else was easy to manage on WesternOnline. He's replies really fast on emails. I would take his online course again.

Dr. Hammersley is a super nice guy whose lenient and willing to help. All the work for the class is done online besides the final exam. Lecture can be boring at times but it was an enjoyable class overall.

His lectures are VERY boring. He does try his best to get the class involved but is also extremely awkward when lecturing. He's a great guy outside of class and accommodates to needs. I skipped a lot of class, but he does take attendance randomly since most of the homework, tests, and quizzes were online. Easy A.

First off: the teacher is boring but knows his material. Second thing: he's late posting notes. Didn't get our notes for final till the day before. Does give you study guide and you can use your notes on the exam (NOT sure if that's every semester though) Notes are heavy. Needs to make lecture more interesting. Up to you to take Very understanding
