Does not over complicate things. Lectures in a calm, straight forward manner which I found easy to follow. Very reasonable individual who holds consistent office hours. Study smart and you should pass with an A. Best prof I've had so far.

Professor Kapitzky is one of the sweetest chemistry professors I have ever taken. She truly cares about her students and wishes for each of them to pass. She is extremely helpful with lab work and difficult concepts. She gives you the previous semesters exams so that you may study off of them. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Kapitzky is an excellent chemistry teacher. She teaches very clearly and doesn't hesitate to answer your questions. You aren't really graded on participation, rather your grade is mostly made of Exams, Labs, and Quizzes. You obviously will need to study hard as chemistry isn't an easy subject.

Professor Kapitzky is amazing. If you go to her with questions she will go above and beyond to explain things clearly in a way that you understand. Practice exam's with solutions are posted, homework is online so you get immediate feedback, and office hours are in the tutoring center before class. she is a GEM. Hoping she is able to teach organic!

Do not take this Professor! I get she is kinda a new teacher but she honestly doesn't even know what she teaches. Her tests are extremely hard and gives challenge problems... for a test! Her study guides do nothing to prepare you for the exams. She isn't clear, nor does she seem to have any confidence in what she is saying.

DEFINITELY take Ms. Kapitzky!!! She's a great teacher - very understanding and caring. Took her summer course. There was no homework but sometimes the labs were not finished in class. Her lectures are very clear and organized but dense. If you ask questions, she's more than happy to slow it down and help you. Exams are tough but she prepares you.

I was very apprehensive about taking chemistry but she made it painless. Lectures are clear and informative. A text book is used but I stopped reading it halfway through the semester and got by on her lectures alone. She makes herself available to provide extra help to those that need it.

Definitely take her! I've never taken Chemistry before and I'm bad at math, also took this during summer but I still passed. She's very patient, helpful, & nice. If you don't understand something, she'll help you until you get the problem. She doesn't give out any homework so you need to show up for lab & do well on exam. Book is online for free.

She's an amazing teacher!!! I highly recommend her for chemistry especially since it's a science that has a lot of math. She's very good at explaining things throughly.

Hands down the best chem 108 teacher in DVC. The labs are easy and she always gives you a good grader. No homework for the class. If you show up for lectures and labs you will be at least a B. For the tests half the class gets As and half get Ds. There are not really hard but you have to know what your doing to pass the tests. But their are easy.
