This was definitely one of my favorite profs so far. Dr. Drake is hilarious and you can tell she cares about her students. GO TO CLASS and participate in conversations and you'll succeed. She wants you to do well, and she will give you the notes to study before the exam. Reading is assigned but only critical to prepare for pop quizzes.

- 3 tests, 7 journal entries, final exam is a 5-8 page paper - Lots of reading for this class - Anything else in class besides the final paper/tests are based on participation - Sometimes takes attendance and participation in discussions does matter - Gives you the test 1 week before (VERY easy tests) - Passionate in what she teaches so that's nice

Loved her! She's an absolute sweetheart. Class discussions are interesting and although opposing opinions often emerge, she is very open-minded and understanding towards all of them. Her class is easy because she prepares you for the exam. You can tell she cares about her students.

Lectures were awesome; our class discussions were super interesting and thought provoking, sometimes really heated. It was hard to take notes sometimes since our lectures were very discussion based, but she will go over what you need to know for exams. She cares so much about her students! I would recommend her to everybody!

This class is not bad. You have a midterm, a final, and a 5 page paper. Dr, Drake gives a lot of feedback on your assignments before you ever submit them and prepares you extremely well for the midterm and final. Participation is 25% of the grade.

She's a good professor. She takes time to answer questions and explain things clearly. She is readily available for help on the exams and the paper. It is a class that requires some participation, so be warned if you're super shy. Overall, I really enjoyed this class and Dr. Drake.

She encourages participation and you'll most likely want to participate because the things we talk about are pretty relevant to modern society. She is very passionate about philosophy and really wants her students to learn. She assigns small reading before some class to discuss. Graded off of midterm, final, discussion board, and 5 page paper.

Comment:
Assigned readings from multiple books throughout the semester that she would the discuss in class. Really likes class discussions. All work is from writing papers, 8 2-page papers and a 6-8 page final paper. You can write on anything being focused on in class even if loosely related. Not a tough grader but it's easy to get behind on the papers.
