Kithinji is hands down one of my favorite professors I have had. His online class is super easy to follow and he loves to update the class. Kaffir boy was a mandatory read and was fantastic. If you are looking for a great class and love culture this is the class for you!

Dr. Kithinji has been my favorite professor at UCA thus far. He really knows his stuff and you can tell he is passionate about the subject. Had multiple conversations with him in and out of class. Great guy and the class is not too difficult. Show up to class each day, take notes, and you'll do well on the tests. Be sure to ask questions, TAKE HIM!

Hes really knowledgeable about what he teaches; if you take anything with him that isnt a gen ed its not a blowoff class but hes still super nice and he doesnt make assignments harder than they have to be. He also gives you feedback on all your papers so you can do better on the next one.

He is very humorous and he knows his stuff but could be inconsiderate and grades hard at times. Show that you want to pass and he will be more lenient

Kithinji was an okay professor and was generally nice, but within his lectures, he could sometimes be incredibly offensive. Several times he negatively stereotyped religions and religious people, which was very discouraging and saddening. It was a fine class, but I didn't enjoy a single minute of it. I would avoid the class.

This class was an easy, online A that didn't take much time or effort. He did make us do a lot of group projects, and that was incredibly difficult considering it's online and we never actually meet. That was the only tough part, and it was completely doable. He always responds to emails quickly and answers any questions you may have.

Kithinji was a great professor! Took him for AFAM history. He is so good at what he does and is so thorough when answering questions! This is NOT a blow off class. You must work for the grade. 2 group projects, 1 essay and 2 exams. His grading scale is small. The most an assignment/exam is worth is only 40 points. Over

Not too much work for the class, one quiz a week (which I did all at once for each module) and a one discussion board/collaborative paper a month. Grading does take a while. Easy A for me. I recommend buying the Kaffir boy book when you plan on writing the book report and returning it ASAP for your money back-you just need the exact page #s.

Had him for an online class. Takes forever to grade work. Had a lot of quizzes, but the quizzes allowed you to take them twice with your better grade being kept. Did pretty well on reminding you what was due.
