Comment:
This is the only professor at JCCC that I have taken a class of and felt like I needed to warn other students about. Not only are the requirements for the papers impossible to achieve with the small amount of things he wanted us to write about, he was also incredibly rude. Some of his feedback was hurtful and opinion based while tearing down my own

Roose was great! We read some scripts from plays, wrote some papers, read some chapters and took some quizzes. Participate and you'll do fine. Keep organized with a list of what is due... there are no reminders. Easy A if you put forth just a little bit of effort. 1 midterm and 1 final... he gives you all of the hints beforehand so you'll succeed

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He was the meanest professor I have ever had. I am a 4.0 student, but he makes this class impossible. Quizzes are only open for a few hours. He graded everything way more difficult than necessary. He did not explain assignments well. The feedback he gave did not help and rather tore me and other classmates down.

Even though we are in the middle of the semester, I feel inclined to write about this prof. Incredibly ridiculous work load. SEVEN things due in one week?! You have to be kidding. Takes this class way too seriously. It's all very easy but insanely time consuming. Would never ever recommend taking this professor. EVER. You've been warned!

Take this class, you will learn a lot, as the teacher is very knowledgeable. He is a great teacher who cares about every one of his students. There is a lot of papers, but if you put in the effort, you will receive the grade you desire.

There is no such thing as a perfect paper, know that going in. He posts videos that have little to do with the discussions, but they are interesting. The class layout is well-formatted. He replies to emails within a few hours. He is very understanding and will answer any questions you have.

I really like Roose, but his homework can get a little ridiculous. It was never really hard, but it was time consuming. You have to read a chapter and do a quiz, write a 250 word discussion with a 150 word response (sometimes twice), and do a 250 word dropbox assignment every single week. The class was cool I guess, but I wouldn't take it again.

Very knowledgeable in the art of theater. I took his online class in the spring. He assigns quite a bit of papers and each paper has to be 750 words. Also he has discussions that must be 250 words or more but easy A.

Versatile teaching styles. Very accommodating of students' learning patterns. A knowledgeable, competent, and passionate teacher. You get what you give in this class, so participate wholeheartedly and you won't be disappointed.

Aaron Roose is by far the worst professor I've ever had. Whatever you do, do not take him. Not only does he assign a large amount of necessary reading to be done outside of class but he also assigns large papers due every week. On top of that he is a very hard grader. He likes to be right on everything which means that everyone else is wrong to him
