Professor Rogers is a great person! Small class, fun and interesting lectures where he would just talk to us, and you don't have to take notes. Assigns weekly readings which is how you get most of the content, and weekly quizzes based on the readings and topic for that week. His stories were always interesting and class was never boring. Easy class

Professor Rogers gives weekly quizzes, little homework, and makes sure the final grade isn't based on a small number of assignments. The lectures/class was a joy, and he's willing to work with you on submission deadlines or individual assignments. That being said, his course is on editing, and the quizzes aren't easy, but the work is really doable.

Fantastic professor. You have to do a good bit of reading but it's all interesting stuff. If you're struggling with papers, he's really easy to reach outside of class and gives helpful feedback. Fair grader, hilarious guy, great time.

I wasn't looking forward to this class when I took it, I just needed an English 400 class for my minor. If you write anything, this is a class worth taking to brush up on your editing skills and learn. Professor Rogers makes the class fun and has some hilarious stories to tell. I hate that the pandemic robbed me of half a semester in his class.

Definitely take him if you can! I wasn't too excited for this class but he makes it fun. The workload is reasonable and class is always a good time. Will definitely take more classes with him if I get the chance. I learned a lot.

I honestly dreaded having to take any sort of english class, but by the end of the semester it was the highlight of my week. A moderate amount of reading and writing that does not take up too much time. The professor found ways to make every subject covered interesting and was kind and understanding when it came to asking for help.

Prof Rogers is a great guy. I expressed my concern about my grade and he reassured me that I had time to bring it up. He is really understanding and just an overall great professor. I appreciated everything he taught me. His lectures don't really help much if you dont read the online textbook, but they were enjoyable and could use laptop/phone.

If Rogers could teach every single English class I need, I would greatly appreciate it. He is easily the best English professor you could get and his editing class is an amazing course. He is passionate and knowledgeable and willing to help you on every account, not just with the class. I took this class against my advisers advice as a freshman.

Syllabus may seem intimidating on the first day, but Dr. Rogers spreads the work out evenly through the semester. Hes a great guy that really cares about the students. Quizzes are weekly, and they get trickier each week. Online modules, midterm, and final arent too bad. Assignments will annoy you, but they teach you to focus on details.
