I can only say that it was horrible, don't take it, even though I passed with B, it was a B almost to death! She didn't curve, and she didn't give away any points. I took her in person but if you want to pass with beautiful colors, she is not the best option, I had no other option but it is better to take this class in long semester

Dr. Kanjanapangka takes the time to get to know her students. She knows her material very well, and is good at rephrasing and offering analogies that are helpful with understanding difficult concepts. She gives a lot of time to answering questions and helping students actively review. The exams are difficult, but students who work hard do well.

I... don't even have the words to describe how terrible this professor is. Never take her course. You are being warned now. She has zero empathy. She does not know how to teach. Tests on NOTHING that has been taught. Very disorganized. I am a straight A student and not a single person received an A in this class. She sets you up to fail.

Professor K- DO NOT TAKE! Lots of science majors (including myself) took her. She was not empathetic to ANYONE during our unprecedented times during the pandemic. Her syllabus changed at least 5x, labs were only 15 mins (graded heavily) zoom lectures bad, & THE FINAL WAS SO BAD/DISORGANIZED students wrote letters to the Dean. You have been warned.

I hold a couple degree's on my back, I've had many professors and never experienced a professor like K. There is a lot to say and I wrote it all in my letter to the Dean's, on behalf of many. I don't think this professor wants to help her students. I think she wants to put everyone up for failure and doesn't care if we're in a worldwide pandemic.

Took this class during the unexpected pandemic and it was horrible. She did not care if students were going through a huge transition, she still added weight to our shoulders assuming we all had nothing to do since the course was online. Zoom sessions were ridiculous, 15 mins for lab and still graded us. Avoid if you can, the worst Professor.

Very lenient in grading assignments and lab. Exams are challenging sometimes, but most of her exams are easy as long as you understand the lecture & memorize all of the concepts & terms from her lecture. Pay attention to everything that she says during lecture as it will be on the exam. Participate and ask questions to do well in her class.

Nice, but terrible teacher... Lecture slides aren't detailed/scattered and she's bad at explaining things accurately/detailed. Textbook is also a piece of work. Also, typical "academic" professor w/ little compassion for students with jobs, family, personal life. Bad course flow and changes syllabus dates verbally (vs. posting it) during class.

She is a knowledgeable teacher and expects you to know your stuff the same way she does. But if you have a job or take any other class along with this one, drop it. She tests VERY hard. She is not informative when it comes to the test, she will advise you to know the learning objectives but will test you on something completely different. Drop it

Dr. K is a highly qualified biology teacher. She is able to make interesting connections with the material she teaches, and her enthusiasm always transmits. She is also very patient and willing to answer any and all questions that come her way.

Not as terrible as the reviews here mentioned. However you will have to study on your own. Lectures are VERY textbook heavy and tests are as well. Your grade in the class is a reflection of how much time you spend on the material as Micro is an inherently difficult topic.

"She definitely knows her stuff, expects you to know as much as her. Very vague, gives entire lectures on irrelevant material, won't tell you what you need to know for tests. Tests are EXTREMELY difficult, the class average is usually a D (which she considers a good thing, as opposed to an F).".... Very accurate description above. I have an "A" btw

Thought she was really nice but her lectures were extremely boring and she often seemed confused and scattered. I did well in the class but wish I would've taken it with someone else.

Dr. K is very knowledgeable and caring. She expects her student to do the work and assists any way possible. Easy to communicate with. She definitely respects her students and wants them to do well in the class. She loves class participation. I learned a lot in her Microbiology class. Hands down, Dr. K is one of the best professors.
