Hands down one of the best professors ever! His class is super easy, and you honestly just need to memorize and learn the terms on his slides. Hes also super funny! It makes the lectures worth attending, and it keeps you into the lectures as well. I couldnt recommend a better sociology professor!

Hes an amazing professor! Hes very funny and loves basketball. If you want to get an easy A, take him! He was very understanding about the workload and barely gave out hw. Tests are open note! He could careless about the situation going on right now at CSULA, dont let negative reviews fool you.

Lectures are recorded so you don't have to attend class everyday. He assigns papers bi-weekly based on a sociological question like "What does sociology mean to me?". They are super easy, just 250 words about whatever comes to mind. Tests and final are directly off the slides, so take good notes, word for word. Prof. Martel is funny and relatable.

Easy class, I just watched the recordings. You need to take notes because those notes are the exact time. The lecture is only boring because I am at home. He is an interesting character and is funny. Should take if you want an easy A however, must do some work (just write notes).

This professor is the funniest professor I've encountered at CSULA yet! He likes to connect topics of sociology to his life and contemporary issues in society, so its never boring. The assignments are basically bi-weekly, one-paged essays. Take good notes bc each exam is open note, and the final is cumulative. He is amazing and caring. 100% take!!!

EASY A. Just show up and take notes; tests are open notes. There are also small easy homework essays. He has good humor and talks about his personal experiences. Yes, he does scratch his head while sipping coffee, but love that for him. He's really nice and you can have a great conversation with him.

The easiest A you can get in college. He lectures with PowerPoints and all you have to do is copy the slides word for word. Theres 6 one page papers, 2 tests, and 1 final; all based on the lectures notes (all 3 are open notes). Takes attendance daily. Overall, hes funny but can get awkward at times if the class doesnt interact or ask questions.

His class was incredibly easy, the answers are exactly like the slides he posts. I took notes word-for-word and his tests are open note. However, I hated his class. Absolutely dreaded going to class and watching him walk back and forth and scratch his head and sip his coffee. I never felt like he actually talked about sociology.
