Comment:
Prof. Hoagland is a really sweet, caring instructor. But yes, her class is a lot of work for a 200 level class. There are a lot of readings but no textbook. In-class discussions are interesting compared to a boring lecture, so that's a plus. Basically take her class if you are actually interested in the material and ready to work.

I literally cannot with Tangere. She is making a 200 level class seem harder than becoming the next America Ninja Warrior. I should not have to post a blog post and have a dumb quiz every week for a gen ed. The readings she has us read are incredibly long and boring, just a waste of my freakin time! she's nice tho but like don't be a teacher

She was a pretty good professor, just one exam and two group projects. As long as you read the assigned readings, (no book required though) some could be really long but are useful for the quizzes. As long as you read you should do fine. I'd recommend the course.

Everything she says is so vague and she gives too much work for a class no one is interested in. She is a nice person with good intentions and I feel like shes trying it's just not working out.

She is a very sweet and caring teacher and person. I thought her class was very interesting. As long as you do the readings, you should do well on the quizzes, midterm and final. There are two major group presentations which are also easy. Overall, the class is pretty easy and interesting. It is an easy GenEd.

Tangere was one of the best professors I have ever had at umd. I took this as an elective course and to learn about women's studies and I'm so glad I did. If you do the readings and do the work (not a lot at all) you will do great. There is a midterm and a final(open note). She is honestly so amazing BC if you miss a quiz she will let you make itup
