The professor makes you work for your grade. There is a good amount of assignments each week but it is manageable, if you are mindful of his strict late policy. He is very by the book and can be picky; especially about formatting. Just be consistent with all the work and you'll pass.

Do not waste your time unless you have taken an Econ class before. He is the worst professor you will every have. He has no sympathy even though he's young. You have to spend $100 on mindtap that doesn't teach you the actual graphs. 2 papers that he will expect to be of the highest ever. Please do not waste your time here. There are other options.

his lecture is easy to understand, but he gives too many homework that are not actually addressed in the exams but they are relevant to the concepts and theories that he goes over in class. Two paper to work on, not that hard if you don't do bare minimum but the paper prompts are a bit confusing because he asks way too many questions in the prompts

Prof. Linford knows what he's teaching. His essays are hard, but go to his office hours and ASK FOR HELP, he gives great feedback and is very easy to approach. Weekly quizzes based on chapters & gives ec for attending econ speaker events. If you go to class and reach out for help, overall easy class to pass.

I would definitely not recommend this professor. It is a 4 unit class but he expects too much out of his students. Specially on the essays he looks for every small detail to mark you wrong. Would not recommend this class.

Okay so a solid professor when it comes to teaching the material that you need to know, so go to class. But he is insanely hard when it comes to writing. Even if its not a writing class, he'll treat it like one and he will rip you apart on every detail of your paper. Take it if you're good at coming to class and passing tests to make up for essays.

If you like writing and want to know every detail of it in terms of clauses, memorize all writing format rules and love writing difficult papers almost every week then this is your class. I would recommend this class for purely English majors. I would take this class if I didnt have to take any other classes during a semester...

He loves what he does which is not what is required. it was more of an english class than econ. My english is poor and he grades me on my english not my econ which is poor for an instructor to do that

Great Professor. Covers a lot during lectures and you will have quizzes every week after you finish a chapter. Gives 3% extra credit if you go to outside of class economics speakers and workshops. As long as you pay attention in class and take time in your homework youll do good!

He loves what he does and you can easily spot that in his lectures, and his enthusiasm to help students whenever possible. You will have a quiz once a week but won't tell you what day it will occur! Two difficult papers but honestly this is the type of class you take and won't forget what was taught!!!

He expects way too much from students. For example, he gives one hour lectures and expects students to have every little information memorized. This makes it very hard for you to get a decent grade because if you miss a tiny detail, you will do poorly on his pop quizzes. I sacrifice so much time for this one class and I still cannot get above a C.

Overall, he's a solid professor. He give detailed explanations of the materials covered and posted power points online for reference. He is a very tough grader and gives very challenging exams. The questions often have small differences that make it hard to distinguish them. Study hard, and you will succeed. Very good professor overall.
