Dr. Ishikawa is one of my favorite professors ever. She is so kind and passionate about the subject. I really enjoyed how she structured the course and I felt like I learned so much. She focuses more on projects rather than testing, which was great. You won't regret taking her course!

She is very kind and truly cares about her students. She did so well teaching a field methods class during COVID. Her PowerPoints are clear and helpful and her quizzes accurately reflect what we learn in class. It was challenging doing some of the methods on our own, but overall the class was great for being online! The field trip was fun too :)

This was the best class I had during Covid, very understanding of student's different learning needs and was engaging instead of just lecturing. The only class this semester that had any assignments that weren't just 'write something' or 'take a test', we did all our experiments from home, which was a nice change in pace

Professor Ishikawa is an amazing and caring professor! She is very knowledgeable about the topic and it definitely shows. The class consists of a weekly assignment, gardening project, podcast project, midterm, and final. Overall, I learned a lot from her class and I hope to take a class of her's again

She is very knowledgeable about the course material, but is not the greatest teacher. You have to teach yourself most of the material, and class time is spent receiving vague instruction for projects and assignments. Be sure to do all assignments because you won't know your course grade until final grades are posted, despite your grade on canvas.

Dr. I is a great professor who gives excellent feedback, and is very approachable. This class was tough, so expect to always show up. There are two field trips, a group project along with associated papers and a exams; so you'll have your work cut out. This really shouldn't be a 2 units class; more like 3-4 units. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it

Excellent teacher. Laid back. Very practical hands on way of explaining things. Building on topics learned from the prior class, ENVS 120. Give excellent constructive feed back. Likes to work with groups on google docs by giving digital comments. 2 tests and 3 or four write ups. Don't miss class. She shows you how to work in Excel. Great with tech.

Kind. Great teacher. Always explains feedback. Gives plenty of opportunities to redo assignments. Gives extra credit. Has a way of explaining statistics that takes all the stress out of the situation if you're not good at it. Super analytical. Pay attention to details. Makes you better at reading and writing scientific studies if you do the work.

Dr. I is one of the best professors I've ever had. She has a clear grading criteria and grades super fast. She makes it so you cannot fail the class, but you do have to put in effort. She is super nice and will always hear you out if you have a different answer.

She is nice.. Feels like you have to teach yourself most of the material. You have to read the lectures on your own time. Quizzes take up basically the whole class period. Quizzes and a small hw assignment every week. Opportunity for raising your grade with journals and projects.

Easy, yet highly informative class about interpreting statistics. She is extremely fair when it comes to assignments. Everything on the exams are very within reason and warned about ahead of time. 1 project is due during the semester and its nothing too difficult. Gives good feedback. Great Teacher.

This class was amazing. There are two scientific papers that you have to write during the course, but she gives you great feedback and you are able to rewrite it for a better grade. 2 exams (midterm and final), they are easy if you pay attention in class and do the field work. She prepares you well for both exams.
