Armes is funny, really knowledgeable, and wants all of his students to succeed. He does give a lot of work but he provides everything you need to do well. He puts a ton of resources online and outlines everything in the schedule and rubrics. And hell answer any questions you have. Keep up with the readings and note cards; theyll help on the test.

Brian W. Armes is the man. He will make you work for your grade, but he is the best film professor that UNG has. He likes paperwork, btw. A lot of it.

Be prepared to do most of the work outside of class. Make him give you the details for an assignment, he wants you to succeed, he just forgets intro courses are exactly that, intro. Does not respond to email but will help if you track him down in his office. Overall a decent professor just needs to be reminded he's a professor sometimes

Tough and, in my opinion, overqualified for an introductory course. Most of the class failed the midterm and I always felt unprepared for assignments. That being said he's a nice guy, very understanding and responsive and will work with you. Funny and relaxed and doesn't want you to get a bad grade. I'd take him again despite the difficulty.
