Fairly average class, you need to pay attention during lectures or else you can get lost pretty easy. Chem 101 can be annoying at times but youll get through it. DO THE STUDY EXAMS. They have very similar questions to the actual exams just with different numbers. Chemistry is hard and at times confusing, but stay relaxed and youll be good.

I wouldn't take this professor. She does not respond to emails, and even if you talk to her in person she asks for you to email her. She is a kind woman and cares for her student, but not organized at all. She submitted grades at the very last minute. Attendance not mandatory, but only focuses on her in person students and ignores zoom students.

Horrible experience, she does not explain anything and does NOT answer emails. Tests are very hard and there is not much extra credit available.

She's is a nice professor. I think the only thing that makes the class somewhat hard is the material obviously. Theres hw & a quiz every week but she tells you whats on them; not that hard. She posts what topics will be on the tests and they serve as a good study. It's chem, you have to pay attention during lecture and it reflects the tests well.

Pros: Class material is easy to learn. If you took High School Chem you should be fine. HW/Practice exams are reflective of what is given on the real exam (CHEM 101). She is really funny and seems to truly care for her students. Cons: She can be unorganized. She is late in putting grades into the gradebook and not so great at responding to emails.

She is all over the place and always says to email her but will NEVER respond so you have to go to class to address her. Knows her material and really cares about students, but you just gotta bother her. lots of hw and quizzes on chem 101. To pass the exams and quizzes use chegg. She gives you NO time on exams (1 1/2 for 25 questions)

Inputs assignments super late, very unorganized lectures, and teaches us stuff we don't need to know... Homework is doable and practice exams are somewhat helpful. There's a cumulative final at the end and have a total of 4 exams. There's quizzes here and there and homework assignments almost every week.

She is a nice professor but needs to work on organization. She would either spend too much time on a topic or too little. Puts in grades really late. 4 tests, homework, final, and lab makes up your grade. Homework was easy and she had practice problems before an exam which is sometimes helpful. Will give extra credit if you ask.

Professor Ghasemiyeh is one of the nicest! She is very understanding and truly cares about her students. She does not grade the quickest but grading is straightforward. Provides practice tests for exams which are very helpful and gives a clear summation of what will appear. Make sure to do practice problems especially during lecture!

Professor Ghasemiyeh is very nice and she cares about her students learning. She gives lots of examples during lecture and it helps if you participate/ do the problems with her. It is a hard class, but she is accessible outside of class. Attendance and paying attention to lectures/examples is important. Assigns homework every week. Hard tests!

The class is hard only if you don't put in the work to learn the material. I definitely recommend her bc she wants you to understand the material and pass the class. Her tests are mostly based off of the slides, she gives a lot of extra worksheets that are similar to the questions that you will be tested on, and her study guides help

We have 3 exams and 1 cumulative final which are doable as long as you ensure you learn the concepts. She is very caring when it comes to helping students out of class and will give you sample problems until you learn the material. Everything on the exams is accessible through her power points and study guide. Nursing students take this class!

I would not suggest taking this course with her. She is really nice and understanding, but can be all over the place. Majority of the time you'll be having to teaching yourself and will have to read the book thoroughly. Not specific with what you were suppose to study for your exam and quizzes. Study guides were straight trash, very bland.

Her overall disorganization overshadows her kindness. The professor is overwhelmed when students ask her questions about the lecture material. She also tests on concepts not on the posted study guide and concepts from chapters that are not tested on. A decent lecturer, but goes very briefly over concepts yet tests and quizzes often go much deeper.

Attending her lectures is not mandatory but it will detrimentally impact on your grade. I suggest for those that want a passing grade to attend her lectures on a daily basis. Overall, Professor Ghasemiyeh is a very kind and light-hearted professor that is always available to help with any trouble you have on the subject.

Soraya is a decent teacher. To be honest, I never showed up to her class and I still passed pretty easily. She teaches straight out of the book so you really just need to read it and you should be fine. She kinda all over the place but she's a lovely woman. Just stay on top of the homework and read the book, you'll pass.

Avoid her at all costs! Our class always had to remind her to email us back and remind her to return our assignments to prep for the exams we had. She was so unorganized and was all over the place. She encourages you to ask questions if ur lost but when you do, she answers them in a way to make you look dumb. Graded our exams last minute. AVOID HER

Avoid taking her if you can. She is always all over the place. Sometimes doesnt even know whats on her own slides. Messes up all the time when presenting material and then realizes she told us the wrong thing. This is a hard subject and she does a horrible job teaching it. 4 exams and online homework
