Her lectures are at the worst level, while she uses Ipad for everything. I am incapable to read her writings. Accepts late assignments and homework worth 85% of the total grade. There is one final test of the semester worth 15% as well. Since she teaches nothing in class, you have to study on your own to do the assignments.

Professor Abadia knows her stuff. She is clear on what you need to do in order to succeed in the class. She gives great examples and is always available for questions. You will learn but like all college courses, you will need to do your homework and attend class if you want to do well.

I am terrible at math. not only that, but I have a weird schedule- however, professor Abadia was definitely manageable. The application she uses to teach was helpful, and when it comes to being late, if you reach out she will grant you an extension. Be wary- don't overuse extensions... (also try to participate in class -you'll know what I mean)

Professor Abadia was a very good math teacher. She was clear with her lectures, provided extra credit opportunities, and offered additional resources to better assist the lessons. She gives a lot of homework, but gives you plenty of time to complete everything. Only thing is sometimes the questions on the test were not explained in lectures or hw.

Ms. Abadia is a very ok teacher, there are a lot of worse options at BCC. I had her @8:00 AM and class usually wouldn't start until 8:15. Lectures are useful but questions sometimes feel like they're discouraged. However, she is completely different during office hours, she is a lot kinder and more patient, so go to those if you're struggling.

She spent 5 minutes complaining about how we weren't speaking up, and then acted annoyed when I did ask questions. A friend who passed her class with an A said the best strategy is to sit in the back, be confused, and save questions for office hours, since questions make her angry. That's not how I want to learn. dropped, going to Laney instead

She shows up late every class and constantly complains and vents to us. She will stop teaching at any moment to mention or complain about something completely irrelevant. For some reason, she constantly needs verbal confirmation from us, math or not. She is also very aggressive and rude to anyone who asks a question, so avoid asking questions.

A comment just at the start of the class. The etext book from Pearson cannot be used on a kindle. If you opt to go the etext route just know that. The Pearson etext app does work on iOS and Android phones, just specifically NOT kindle. I was able to find a work around by reading a Tech Junkie article about adding google play to kindle-wontletmelink

Ms. Abadia is a feisty Latina, math diva, no worry, she takes time to help , even time out of her personal life to ensure her students get as much help with Calculus . She is very passionate about her dispilcine in math and provided a lot of activity packets that I use now for my Calc I and Physics. I recommend to take her for your math journey.

Like every math class, you still need something to supplement the class. How I got an A in this class: Study 2 hours per day, participate in the class and go to her office hours at least once a week. Although, she comes across rude but that didnt stop me from getting good grades on the exams.

She is very clear when giving lectures; easy to understand and learn from them. Study for her midterms and pay attention to the handouts. Homework was fair and was generously graded. I would recommend emailing her if you don't like being called on.

Ms. Abadia is a teacher that mix personal with professional life. She has bad and heavy vibes. I was always late in her class because she was complaining all the time about her hard life, how the class before was awful and her struggles with getting to BCC. She is excellent for those who bring her coffee. She has post and pre quizzes for every chp

The only way to fail this class is to try at failing. There was a lot of homework, a few online quizzes and chapter tests, but if you did the work, you will pass. The tests are easier if you study the practice tests and pay attention in class.

Ms. Abadia was a great stats professor. She is helpful and explains things throughly if you go to her office hours. Class can be a little confusing at times, but she's always willing to help students who seek for her help. You won't get a good grade if you don't do the online work though!

If you'relooking for a teacher who doesn't teach the material and instead spends her class time complaining to her students over her own personal issues such as her struggles to getting to work every day or why she thinks shes an excelent math teacher this b*tch is just for you. Prepare to here "say something" and "are we okay" every 5 seconds.

Prepare to hear the words "are we okay" and "say something" every 30 seconds. Makes you feel stupid for asking questions but is desperate for people to ask them. Talks too much about personal life. Terrible at responding to emails. I basically had to teach myself precalc because her lectures made no sense. Find another professor!
