Comment:
She is very passionate about her material and it shows. However, she keeps juggling between english, spanish and french when lecturing and for someone who doesn't speak spanish, it is very tiring. Also, there is A LOT of information to take in. Exams, essays, participation is 30% of your final grade...I don't recommend this class.

This teacher is great, she's very caring of her student and knowledgeable. Her lectures are interesting and I have learned a lot from them. Papers are easy, exams not so much so just make sure you go to class and do the readings otherwise you could miss important pieces of information. Overall I truly recommend this teacher!

Comment:
Nuria is the best. Such an important agent for Latin American Art in Canada, I couldn't be more glad I took both of her classes. She is very kind and open for opposing ideas. Yet, like most of Art History and political professors, if you agree with their views, you'll do great in the quizzes and papers. A lot of memorizing names and concepts too.

Very passionate in her lectures, makes you excited about the material. Very kind and wants her students to do well. Encourages discussion. A lot of memorization, so study hard for the exams. Overall a fun class, you'll learn a lot about Latin American History in general.

She is the sweetest prof. Sometimes a little bit unclear with her instructions on what to study but overall easy class. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she's teaching.

If you make your lectures (not necessarily on time, but by the time of the quizzes) and you come to class, you'll have really good grades. She is really passionate and seems to know a lot about the subject. She is really nice and understanding to the students. This course is not hard and the teachers explains well!
