Great professor! I took the class over the winter-intersession, it was asynchronous and self directed but had specific times/dates for each unit test. In all it was a lot of work but it was manageable and Professor Rugg makes his lectures fun and interesting. Participation is mandatory. I highly recommend this class.

Gives a lot of work especially when its not relevant to your major. Very boring 8am turbo. Pretty easy grader and counts towards magis core just very boring.

Dr. Rugg is a great professor and his lectures are interesting and applicable to the real world. You need to take notes on things he SAYS during class because it WILL be on the exams. There are 3 small projects and a large final paper. Follow all directions and produce interesting analysis and he will return the favor will a great grade.

Mass Media and Society is an interesting class and Adam teaches it well. This being said he does expect you to participate and he grades papers on the harder side. The class consists of 3 Media Hunts, Literacy Review, a Final Paper, and 3 tests (one being the final). I would recommend taking Adam, but you are going to work for an A in his class.

AMAZING prof, interesting class and easy coarse load. would take again in a heartbeat. Such a great guy, cancels class often, and makes the already interesting material much more interesting. Participate in class and its an easy A.

One of the most personable professors I've had at Fairfield. Class lectures are very interesting and involve open and fun conversations. You definitely need to take notes during class; the midterm and final are largely based on his lectures. The papers and tests aren't easy, but he's always available for office hours and is very understanding.

Very nice guy but midterm and final are tough and if you miss class you can miss information that will be on the exams. Class is all lecture but keeps it interesting by using real and current examples of things discussed in class.

He's an awesome guy with a lot of nice things to say. Three missed classes before he starts taking off points. Things he says in lectures along with what he assigns on the readings are on the mid-term and final. He assigns media hunts that help boost your grade so do them right, he can be a tough grader. Went to him for office hours, helped.

I enjoyed this class for the most part, but he really has to work on his tests. They really have nothing to do with what is discussed in class and nothing to do really with our other assignments. I did enjoy the other assignments but the stress of his midterm and final exam have kind of cancelled out that enjoyment for me
