Comment:
I took Fundamentals of Geography because it was required for my major. Honestly, I learned next to nothing about land forms and zero capitals, but I learned so much about things that will help me in real life. The 8 week class had 5-6 assignments a week. You have to be a good thinker. He gives good feedback. I would recommend for adulting purposes.

I have taken Dr. McIntosh a few times, and his online classes are very immersive. Weekly readings and questions, a weekly activity, and a weekly discussion are how most of them are structured. This particular class required us to write two 6-8 page papers. You have to spend a few hours a week working for the grade but you really learn something.

Comment:
Professor McIntosh is pretty great. Before the virus outbreak, he was really upfront about all the assignments and is a fast grader. During the pandemic, he has been really cool about everything as I was in the hospital for about a week. Also no book.

Some assignments can become confusing at times, but he is great to responding to emails. Works with the students to be able to correctly do assignments. Textbook is required, he does weekly chapter quizzes over the contents of the chapter. Well respected because he is caring and will help students when they're struggling.

His class is straight forward. Quizzes every Friday, tests, and homework due Sunday. There is a small presentation, but it is the easiest thing. Show up and do your work, and you'll get an A. He is very smart and knows what he is talking about.

Dr. McIntosh is a very kind professor with a very straightforward agenda. Quizzes every Friday, two homework assignments due on Sundays. As long as you show up to class and do your work this is an easy A. He also curved 2 of our test as well and does give extra credit. There is also one very short presentation worth 100 points. Do this its cake.

His class is pretty straight forward and simple. Map Quiz every Friday, 5 HW questions due every Sunday, and 4 Exams with extensive study guides. EASY. He is lecture heavy where it can be hard to stay with it but his material is great. He knows what he is talking about and is respectful.

Overall an easy professor. It's a boring class if you don't enjoy geography, of course. He's a nice guy but he's easily taken advantage of and disrespected, which bothered me when people would talk over him or mock him. He is lenient towards the end of the semester by allowing you extra credit too.

There are weekly map quizzes and homework assignments. You will have to label about 15 countries/cities on a blank map for the "Friday" map quizzes. He lectures from PowerPoint slides that he also posts to Blackboard, so most people only came to class on Fridays to take the map quizzes. The homework is posted and submitted through Blackboard.
