She is a caring professor but theres SO MUCH material & her test questions are incredibly detailed, specific, & require you you "select all that apply" which makes the questions incredibly difficult & easy to count against you even if you select most of the answers right. Wayyyy too much hard material (involves biochemistry) for an intro class imo.

Dr. Hobbs is one of my favorite professors at Emory! As an Oxford continuee, her classes remind me a lot of what I experienced there--small class sizes, unique assignments (Op/Ed, infographic, film review, scientific poster, etc.) and generally engaging material. Plus, she brought us food several times:)

She's a super nice lady, and accessible outside of class. BUT her tests are notorious for having select all that apply questions that count against you if you select a wrong answer. because of this her tests are confusing in addition to the class already having ALOT of content. She's also a hard grader.

I love Dr. Hobbs! She is a great professor and very helpful if you are struggling with concepts. This class has a lot of information, so make sure to do the mastering nutrition assignments and quizzes. The exams reflected the lectures and homework well.

Very nice and sweet lady, would recommend going to office hours. Her test are straight from her slides so memorize those slides to do well. Each test is about 15% of your grade, so not to bad. However, she packs a lot of information, so it easy to feel overwhelmed. Gives a 5 point extra credit after each test, which is nice.

Dr. Hobbs is probably the worst professor I've had at Emory. I took her Motor Phys. course. It is new and it needs a lot of flushing out. By the end of the semester, I do not feel like I have learned much. Tests are needlessly nitpicky and the study guides were not very helpful. She posted an 8 page final study guide 27 hours before the final. RUN.

Dr. Hobbs is the sweetest and most genuine professor I have had at Emory so far. She really loves to teach and wants to make sure everyone understands the material. Although there was a lot to learn, I think it was worth the work because of her. I highly recommend taking a class with her at some point before you graduate.
