Professor Bergmann was the best spanish teacher I have ever had. She is very understanding and such a sweet woman. I would highly recommend her. As long as you keep up with the homework assignments on vhl it's not a hard class at all.

Prof. Bergmann is a queen. All homework is through an online program and your giving weeks to complete it. She is just overall such an interesting woman who has a background in many different languages and tells cool stories. Be ready to speak in Spanish throughout the class and being called on. Tests are online and worth majority of your grade.

All tests are online... take that as you want. ;) Lots of stupid games and a waste of time in class. She's super nice and caring though. Just be aware of dreading class time.

Comment:
The class itself wasn't too bad. Lots of daily homework and memorization, but that can be expected in a foreign language course. Bergmann, however, never learned our class's names, so we all got the same grade on our oral exams and participation grade. We always played useless "games" that everyone would just cheat at so there was no point.

Prof. Bergmann's a good and caring prof. She is big on group work and in-class activities/practice. She asks you to read out loud a lot, but spoken conversation isn't done much. Classes are predictable and tests are frequent but not too difficult. I'm pretty sure half the class used spanish dict and she didn't notice (during in-person classes.)

She's really sweet and a bit goofy. You can tell she loves to teach and she really appreciates when you get into it. She is hard of hearing so you gotta speak up. The tests are pretty average and all of the homework is due the day of the test.

Super caring professor. I'm terrible at Spanish but put in a slightly above average amount of work outside of class and received an A. She grades super easily on the Composition assignment and Oral exam, but the tests can be kind of challenging

Most of class time is spent working in small groups on material covered in brief lecture (like vocabulary or grammar). Engaging professor, but noticeably hard of hearing (so speak up!). Exams are online, as are the homework assignments.

Professor Bergmann was AWESOME. For this class being at a requirement level, she made sure everyone was engaged and understood the material. Her and bubbly and welcoming personality made the hour and a half fly by. She is very clear on every assignment and tells you exactly what is on the tests. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN! 12/10 would recommend

She does a lot of group work, every class she will put you in groups. First day of the week you will usually go over vocab and right before the exams is when all of the homework online is due. If you talk to her in Spanish a lot she will respect you even more! Loved having her as a prof.
