He was a good teacher but I was taking the class online. We had to read three 20-30 page chapters each week and with a test for each chapter, then we had to write a paper once that was completed. It was a lot of work. he took about 3-4 days to respond to my email about assignments after the due dates so he was not any help with that.

This class required a ton of reading. Each chapter was followed by a quiz which are almost impossible to score a high grade. Mr. Cooper claims to respond to emails within 24 hours, however, he will sometimes go 3+ days. Extra credit live streams are offered weekly, this professor will leave students sitting and waiting just to have him not show.

Mr. Cooper's class was the one I looked forward to every week. If you read the chapter weekly, and participate in class discussions, you will be fine. He answers all emails within 24 hours, and if you don't wait until the last minute to do your discussion papers, he will help you to the best of his abilities! Super funny and entertaining! 10/10

You will have to write a 350 word essay, read 20-40 pages, and participate in a discussion each week, but its not too bad. He is usually pretty nice, but sometimes hell give you a zero on your paper if you forget one minuscule thing like page numbers or something. Typically on papers, youll get either a zero or a hundred. I did learn a lot.

He's a genuinely nice person but do not take his class if you aren't a really good essay writer and can confidently complete a high standard essay every week along with homework. If you are looking for an easy class to fill some credits then this is not for you. It would be a great class for someone who is dedicated to learning sociology though.

Highly recommend Mr. Cooper as a teacher. He can be pretty tough on his students but it is obvious that he cares and he is more than willing to help out his students in and outside of class time. He's a pretty funny guy and I'd definitely take his class again.

Weekly papers (1 1/2 pages) are required for the first 12 weeks but they aren't too terrible. Awesome teacher can be a little insensitive at times but it's all a part of his personality. Showing up to class isn't enough you have to actually participate and this is a small chunk of your overall grade. Makes you think critically about the topic.
