Comment:
Dr. Brooks class was awful. If you like a professor that says umm every 5 seconds and doesnt seem to know what hes talking about, then take this class!! Also, you can be specific as hell on a paper and hes still going to write vague all over it. How is that helpful? The only thing thats vague is his feedback! Would NOT recommend.

This professor cares a lot about students and making sure we have critical thinking skills. He makes lessons relevant and expects us to read and actually do the work. So dont think you can slack this one off. But its great to have someone who puts in extra work to make sure students leave better than when they arrived. Great class.

Dr. Brooks was a pretty easy professor but extremely hard to listen to because he was monotone and boring. He had like two pop quizzes that were worth more than the actual test. So if you missed one or did bad your grade went down a lot. Doesn't actually use a textbook but expects you to buy 5 other books to talk about once.

Dr. Brooks is easily one of the most charismatic professors at the university. That being said, he is also one of the toughest graders that I have encountered. He assigns 4 major assignments, and they are the major grades. There are random pop quizzes, so you MUST read and you MUST do your homework. A wonderful choice and a wonderful person.

I took his online class, and it was hands down the hardest class I've ever taken. He wasn't very clear on his instructions for essays either. It seems like he thinks the people taking this class are English majors, and treats everyone as so. He is a slow grader, and tough.

Comment:
He was a really easy grader so it's not difficult to do well in the class. The entire grade is based on 4 papers you have to write but they're not hard. He does call on people randomly during class to ask them questions about the readings or the discussion in class so be prepared to always have an answer.
