This is the greatest professor I have ever taken. He gives extra credit for literally showing up to class. Everything he taught was fluid and comprehensive. Did not test on anything outside of class. He also taught in a very entertaining way.

He is very easy going and will give you real world advice and have discussions about current events during class. He is super funny if you enjoy a blunt personality. He is generous with 5 points of extra credit for attendance on 6 randomized classes. There were three easy homework assignments that were due on the days of the two midterms and final.

Chill teacher and well-planned lessons. Ask questions whenever he will help. 30 points extra credit just for showing up, but it is randomized (6 opportunities). Very straightforward and will say exactly what you need to know for the short answers on the test.

Took his class a year ago. Really cool guy. Beyond economics, he offered a lot of really practical life advice which made things fun. Good teacher. Highly recommend.

Professor Colins is a great teacher, not old fashioned teaching because he uses real life current events to help you remember economic concepts. Always checks in with you to make sure you are understanding everything ok in class. He cares about your grade by offering extra credit quizzes to boost your grade!

Comment:
Prof Stevens's econ class was great. I took it last year at IVC and learned a ton. His lectures are interesting as he uses current events to describe economic concepts so its easier to understand. Econ isn't my major but I will gladly take another one of his classes if I get the chance to. 2 tests, 1 non-cumulative final and he gives extra credit.
