Amazing prof. for lecture, is test heavy and relies solely on memorization for the lab and lecture tests. Professor is amazing though and really caring. Gave extra credit for doing better on the one test before the previous one. Really wants you to pass and doesn't want to see you fail.

Don't be discouraged by bad reviews! Although he seems a bit cold in terms of his communication, he is a great teacher. He is straight to the point and tells you exactly what to study. His tests are difficult, but NOT impossible. Lectures were pre recorded but still very interesting. HW is every week and straight from the text. I learned a lot.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!! It was an online class due to Covid-19, however this professor made the class easy and fair for everyone. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Here's the thing: Professor Raymond Burke is a real college professor. He's a respected, intellectual professor. Professor Burke explains exactly what's going to be on the tests, and he gives the most inspirational pieces of information in his lectures. He will give you exactly what you need in order to pass, but it's up to you to earn the A.

BECAREFUL! This is a hard class to being with. At first everything seemed fine. Once it was time to switch to online only due to COVID, professor was honestly not the best online teacher. If you are looking for a full anatomy education online do not take this class with this professor.

This professor did a horrible job transitioning to online courses. All tests became open book, but he completely switched the tests around so open book was pointless. He times all tests a minute per questions so beware. He has no sympathy whatsoever, I do not recommend this professor.

He was actually a really good professor up until everything was transferred online (due to Covid-19). His exams were completely based on the textbook and very little from the lectures. Anatomy itself is hard, and he isn't doing so well teaching it online.

The textbook is necessary mainly because he will point out specific lines from the textbook and this will show up on the test. Also do the end of book q. I didn't really read the textbook, I went to class to record the lecture and take down what he said. He makes it clear what is on the test so study exactly what he says and you will get an A.

One of the best professors I have ever taken! He seems intimidating at first but he is truly preparing you for a lifetime of intimidation (considering most take him for the medical industry). EVERYTHING he mentions is on the exams and will not cheat you out of doing a good job. If you want to learn anatomy well, take him and seek his advice.

This guy is really passinate about what he does. As far as the class flow goes... attendance is very important. He gives you a great study guide for each lecture and goes over it in class and pretty much tells you whats on the exam. Listen, take good notes, and read the book and read each chapter twice and you'll do well. You slack off you'll fail

Be ready to study, record your lectures and take notes. He will let you know from day one what to expect in class. If your looking for an easy A don't take him. If you really looking to learn then I recommend this class. It's not easy, but study and go over your notes, and listen to the lectures and you can get an A. Ask questions he will help.

Oh. The. Stressssssss. While I did receive the A I wanted, I wasnt thrilled with this professors soup nazi approach to teaching where students are so intimidated that a ton drop out right away and most serious students feel are afraid to ask any questions. Burke does have a high energy level for lectures, so I think three stars is fair.

Taking this class with Burke was definitely the right decision. It is not easy. Anatomy requires lots of reading, lot of memorizing and lots of studying. Go to the class before the test, he will open his laptop, look at the test and tell you what to study! He prepares you for physiol SO WELL. Has a strong personality, but is a great teacher.

If you want someone to make you feel like you are not capable of doing anything in your life-take him. He doesn't care about anyone and makes it very clear. I have been in the medical field for years. I wanted to further my career ,but now I'm questioning it. You could study in advance and the test will still be different from what you studied.

1/2 the class dropped and genuinely worried about my grade. I've never had a professor who wanted his students to do bad and I have a MA degree. I've always done well in school ,but not in his class. It doesn't matter how much you study for the tests. You won't do well. His reviews are not helpful.

Do yourself and your gpa a favor and don't take her. He makes his tests harder than the need to be. He shows you slides and you are suppose to highlight what is on the test but the test is so different. It's really too much. I think we have had 8 exams. The lecture exam and lab exams are 1-2 days apart. It's not enough time to understand anything.
