She is okay at explaining concepts for the most part and lacks in everything else whether it be lab design, exam design and class design. Labs on important exam material are turned in after the exam meaning important details which we haven't fully learned yet can come back to bite us. No room for partial credit on exams and labs. UML on paper??

She is a good teacher in other areas, but MUST be taken off of teaching CS Capstone. It is not her class, and (no joke) EVERY student has some gripe with her this semester. We use gitlab for creating issues, and there is a problem with every single on even if it's perfect. Do not give her constructive criticism, she will punish everyone for it.

It was a pretty strict class for it being a introductory to college class. The professor is nice, but could be moody at times. She isn't a soft grader, so put in a good amount of work. Make SURE to follow directions correctly or you'll lose credit.

Students would be locked out of classes if they weren't in the room before the start of the lecture. Tardies affected your grade as bad as absences, and if you were one minute late or even on time you were still considered tardy.

Ellis is a caring professor but was very tough. She liked to joke and have fun but at the same time wanted to get things done in a timely manner. Always show her respect. If you need and extension, just ask cause you will get it. Not a tough grader but you do need to do the work.

Professor Ellis is no Doubt my favorite professor at WNE. She is highly respected and is nationally recognized throughout the country. In her 102 class, this were difficult to pick up since I was new to programming, but Heidi was always there to help. She is an exceptional Professor and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn programming!
