He is a tough grader but very kind and caring towards his students. If you don't do one thing it is very easy to fall behind and to fail the class.

Professor Ciarochi is extremely smart in the subject but struggles a lot to get information out in an engaging way. You can tell he cares about your success. He is a tough grader but turn all your work in on time and youll have an easy A.

I feel that he knows his material, but struggles SO MUCH with the delivery of the content. Show up and turn your papers in on time, and it will be an easy A. Just prepare for a lot of papers. If you can pick another professor for JRL 215 do it, and save yourself a lot frustration while watching the man struggle to use Powerpoint.

Mike is such a good guy. He grades papers fairly and if you do what he asks you will get an A. He is passionate about writing and has a lot of experience. I learned a ton in this class.

I took this class at 10 a.m. and oh my it was difficult to stay awake at times. He is a big (huge) sports guy. He got to know everyone in the class. it was interesting because some of his rubrics were super easy to understand and others were quite confusing. This class had a ridiculous amount of papers but, hey- it was indeed a journalism class.

Previously traveled with the Pittsburgh Steelers while writing for the Post-Gazette. He has great experience and someone you can really learn from. He challenges you to go out of your comfort zone, and he's not going to fail you. Revises papers very well and makes sure you know what you're doing.

Great professor, Gives you great feedback on all of the papers you turns in, and only takes off points if your punctuation is bad.

He's a nice enough guy. Class can get pretty boring but most of your work is done outside of class. He knows his stuff, he just struggles to teach it.

Comment:
I received A's on every single graded assignment. This included online quizzes, in class activities, interviews, & papers. I worked hard on my work & participated a lot in class to make sure it was an easy A. However when final grades were posted, I received a low B. It was obvious he didn't follow the grade rubric bc if he did I would've had an A.
