Comment:
Professor Murillo is very much passionate about her work being that it was a class on African history. There is a book you need to purchase and there will be a paper you need to write at the end discussing the falsifying truths put on Africa. There are a couple videos/readings you might need to do and write an 800-word essay on them which isn't bad

Hands down the toughest professor I have had in terms of grading and lecturing. On the first day she was up front about dropping the course if you wouldn't bother reading. Lots of reading, three books total. She also comes off with a tough exterior complex that could be mistaken for rudeness. There to help you if you ask during office hours

She has a heavy work load but everything is done with a purpose. Amazing feedback if you ask for it. She wants all students to succeed but no short cuts are offered. Amazing teaching style and driven in African history. I would take again and again.

Very knowledgeable in her field and a very sweet when you speak to her in private. In her classroom is a different story. She has this weird, tough controlling persona thing going. It can get really annoying fast. One word to describe her is SNARKY. The workload is ridiculous. I had three other upper division courses that didn't require this much

Dr. Murillo is very passionate about the material she teaches. The books assigned for her class are quite easy reads and very interesting, although time-consuming. She will change the way you perceive history and open you to a different way to analyze history through commodities. I took her class in the spring of 2018; definitely, recommend her!

I think that Professor Murrillo gives you everything you need to pass and succeed. Yes, you have to read, but its history what do you expect. She goes over the book in a detailed manner that gives you the answers to the midterm and final. 1 map quiz 1 midterm 1 final all answers are in her lectures so pay attention She's passionate about her work

Comment:
This professor rarely gives a lecture, when she does it is fast, you will not be able to take notes. She has group contests where you teach each other. She tells you to study one book for test, when test questions are in the other book. Bad teacher
