Your grade is only based on 3 test that consist of free response questions. In order to pass you have to take great notes from the lectures and do lots of outside studying. He recommends studying with people from your class which I highly recommend. His labs from my experience are always a bust and he taught us to use a program called R it wasawful

He is pretty good professor that lectures a lot. As long as you take thorough notes and do the homework, you should be good for the tests. The tests are mostly free response with maybe one or two multiple choice. He expects detail and accuracy in his tests, and can be hard grader. The best advice to pass would to read and take notes.

You MUST do well on the tests to pass this class. 3 tests and 1 Final will embody almost all the points given, besides the 3 research lab papers and daily points from the reading guide. No quizzes were given at all. The tests are extremely difficult as they are ALL written responses, no multiple choice, and he expects precise answers. Good Luck

Provides you with what you need to do well. There is a lot of material to go over but if you stay on top of the readings and contribute to class you can do well. If you ask for help he will ivebit to you, but you must put in work.

The tests were difficult but fair. You get what you put into the amount of studying and reading you do. I don't understand though, why students take a science course and don't expect themselves to do their own independent research to improve their grades in reference to the comments below. Gives 10% E.C for tests if you go to tutoring. DO IT.

I took this class thinking that it would be easy since it in a non-major course. Most of the class was failing and he still believed that it'd be best to make tests a "little" challenging. The lectures were uninteresting and the slides contain very little information. It would have been best if I would have taught myself by reading the book.

Just kinda lectures. On and on and on. No backwards momentum whatsoever (No study guide, no answers to previous tests given to study off of). The way he teaches isn't direct enough for my style. It was very open-ended and scattered, which made the final extremely difficult. Do lab every week and study meticulously, and you'll pass...
