Thomas Angell is a great person. He is understanding and will work with you to great lengths if you are struggling or have excused absences. However, all of his homework he makes up himself. Same with his tests. He is extremely well educated and taught Math 351 with an almost graduate level style. I dropped the class.

Angell is a great guy, and cares about his students more than most professors, go to class and write down everything, because he will test you on things you talked about once or twice. Homeworks take hours and are usually irrelevant when it comes to the test but above all go to office hours. He is amazing in office hours.

Two midterms and a 40% final. 7-8 HW assignments, which were extremely difficult. He did take questions and was very helpful especially in OH. Lots of theory in class and less focus on explanation. Online handouts helpful. Tests are tough, you have to master material to do well. Does curve grades!! Overall he's a good guy, just tough exams.

DO NOT TAKE HIM AT ALL COST. He is horrible!!! Everything in class was all general forms with almost no examples. His homework covers only some of what he teaches in class and none of it comes from the textbook. His test are just as bad as his homework. Hopefully this is his last semester so no one else has to suffer.

Not great but not as bad as people say he is. Yes, he likes showing a lot of proofs that you probably won't need to know and the notes can be hard to follow. However, if you go to office hours with specific questions he will go through them with you and do his best to help you understand. Very nice guy. His stories are only sometimes relevant.

He gave the exams very easy. Everyone can get a high grade. However, the letter grade you got in the end will not be expected. I got higher than 80 and 98 in the two midterm exams. I did the project, homework , extra credit. I thought I will get at least B, then the grade I got is C in the end. I rather prefer to take a harder exam.

He is very tough, not just because of the course. Going to class is essential to pass but getting a 100 on each test is not. He curves the class like no one's business. He's gone pretty soon so not really useful, but just wanted to say he's not a bad teacher, just a REALLY hard class.

Not as bad as people might say. Helpful if you make it obvious you want to know the information. He tests you on what he gives in notes in class, although reading along with the book and doing H.W questions helps out alot. He can be rather confusing at times, so make sure to go to office hours and you should be just fine.

Extremely difficult. Lectures are mindless note taking of proofs that will never be used, material you need to know is in book and won't be mentioned in class. Weekly homeworks take upwards of eight hours and are almost entirely proofs which are difficult to figure out how to begin. Tests are harder than they need to be. Do not fall behind.

Hard professor, he starts out and seems ok but as the semester goes on the exams are really hard and he does a lot of proofs that you really don't care about. Try and take a different professor if you can.

terrible experience. i asked for help and he promised to meet with me 2x a week and then failed to show up. didn't even show up to his own office hours. tests were so difficult, averages were in the 40-50's. notes were all variables and proofs that were not helpful at all when it came to the homework or exams

Worst professor I have had at UD by far. He comes into class 5 to 15 minutes late every day and came to a review 2 hours late. The average on both of his tests were in the 50 without a curve and the low was a 7. He expects you to already know the material and doesnt explain what he is doing. Buy the textbook if you wanna pass cause he is useless

Poor teacher, doesn't explain his notes. Uses a lot of variables and proofs instead of concrete examples. Notes are nothing like his tests and homeworks are Hard. Always late to class and keeps you after. Avoid

This prof is really cool if you get to know him. While he doesn't refer to the textbook in class, all of the material he covers is in the book. Curves like crazy, and although there aren't many graded assignments, he does offer extra credit. Not too difficult if you study every so often. Gives applicable problems and examples too!

To start, this teacher does NOT use the textbook, don't bother buying it. He does give very good and clear notes in class, but occasionally drifts to teaching side topics for fun. He is very helpful in his office hours. The negatives: His tests are VERY hard with no curve. And his homework problems are NOTHING like notes or book. VERY VERY hard.

Poor teacher, always late to class, hard to understand proofs, doesn't bring the hard stuff down to the student's level, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK he does not use it nor reference it. BIGGEST CURVE EVER. I had a C- raw score, ended up with an A-.
