Comment:
Every lecture all she did was read from a PowerPoint and hardly interact with students. She seemed more interested in botany than in cellular/molecular biology which bi 151 consists mostly of which would make sense if I was taking a botany class.

She is a great person and loves the subject. Class was power points, but was happy to answer questions. This class was HARD and stressed me out very badly. Her tests are very difficult.

Don't walk into this class thinking it's going to be a cakewalk. Botany is tough! So many new terms to learn. But Dr. Pam really cares about the subject. Her note and lab packet is an outline of everything you'll be tested on. Her in-class and online reviews help too. Do NOT skip. You'll miss too much and she only tests on what she lectured on.

Enjoy 3 hour long lectures of boredom. Less and less people will show up for class as the semester progresses. She cares about plants a lot, but she does not care about you. She knows a lot about botany, but shouldn't be teaching it.

I absolutely love Dr. Pam. She is passionate and knowledgable, and she genuinely cares about the students' comprehension and success. The class is challenging, but if you pay attention in class, do her online reviews, and ask for help when you need it, there is no reason you should fail. I have learned so much this semester from her Botany class.

I wouldn't want any other teacher but Pam teaching Botany. She knows her stuff, loves plants, and she knows how to teach it. Tests consist of both lecture and lab combined, but you start out with extra points on the exam, meaning you can miss more than usual and still get an A. Final class period you get to eat a variety of fruits she brings in.

Dr. Pam is literally the best teacher I've ever had. The subject matter of her course is difficult, but she is very highly organized and gives you everything that you need to succeed. She has wonderful notes, tells you what to go over for each test, and has review powerpoints online.

This class is IMPOSSIBLE! so much homework and memorization. Hope you brought your big boy pants because this class will chew u up and spit u out without blinking if u didn't. General biology or animal science is way easier. Only take if u absolutely have to

I am a straight A student, this class requires time to study and do homework, which there is a lot of but easy grading! She doesn't go over what to study so you have to study everything her notes are not complete.tests are pretty hard because you don't know what's on them. she is very boring but an extremely nice person. There is one presentation.

Pam is really nice but she doesn't answer questions until she is done with a thought and by that time you are so confused you don't even know what to ask. Genetics is very hard in general, but I feel like things could have been explained better

Dr. Lauretto is very passionate about her work. She is VERY organized and gives you everything you need to get a good grade. She also posts power point videos on black board as a study guide for exam which are basically exam questions, so if you take the time to go through those you will do great.

This is a tough class. Tests are hard and a ton of material is covered. Professor Pam treats you like a 3rd grader and barely uses the text book. I ended up teaching myself most of the material the weekend before each test.

You will have to study hard to be successful in this class. A lot of material is covered, and every class period is utilized to the very last minute. Prof is very passionate about plants. Barely opened the textbook, you don't really need it, just use the lecture packet.

This class is SO hard. I'm usually a great student but this class with SHRED YOU APART. If you don't read your notes every night and plant to study EVERY NIGHT then you will not do good, class average on a test we had was 60%. Please read this as a caution.

Do not take this class unless you have the time for it. Professor Laureto is excellent at explaining things and helping you become prepared for the tests...But the tests will destroy you and throw what's left of you into a shredder machine...But other than that it's a great class! Don't waste your time on the book; just study her notes and videos.

Dr. Pam was awesome. Tons of subject knowledge and passion for it. Very smart Lady and a good person. About an hour 30-45 minutes of reading each day and you should do fine. A lot of content covered for the semester.
