Decent amount of homework/lectures to watch for this course. However, it was definitely not bad and I'm glad I had her for Bio 6. She's pretty reasonable - a solid choice for this bio class!

A good anatomy professor is hard to come by but she is pretty good. She's very knowledgable about the material and is willing to meet with you to help you understand things. It's a lot of memorization and you have to study but she provides good lecture notes. The tests and quizzes are what she lectures about so pay attention in class.

Took this professor based on the good reviews. Passed the class with an A, material was easy for me because I love all sciences but WOW it's like she sets you up for failure! Assigns TIMED homework? I didn't even know that was a thing! Proctored quizzes/exams, 25 questions but only 7 mins to complete it??? No curve. She WANTS you to fail.. So sad!!

Hated this class. I took the summer course--WOW! It was constant info and no time to process. Professor did everything she could to help us. On her syllabus, she even mapped out when we should be studying what! Great for people who lack time management skills. Pro tip: Listen to Lectures, then read the CH. If you want an A you have to do both!

Professor Williams is literally the best professor at LAVC. Anatomy is not an easy subject but professor Williams helps you a lot to get the grade you want, her lectures are very helpful, her notes are clear and she basically tells you whats going to be on the exam. 5 exams, drops 1 quiz and 3 homeworks, she was so helpful during pandemic times.

This is a difficult class due but only due to the volume of info. The concepts are not difficult and she tells you exactly what she wants you to learn and what is on exams. Lectures are very valuable but you will probably still need to supplement with the book. The professor may seem somewhat strict but it's for a reason. STUDY and LISTEN for an A.

The class is 9 days, this was my first time taking her class. I've never had a better lecturer for a professor. Everything we learned was connected to what we did in labs. Highly recommend taking any of her classes, she cares about the person and the knowledge more than the letter grade.

A very knowledgable and inspirational prof, however, is lazy and apathetic toward the end of the semester as she does not grade over 90% of her students' work until after the final. She is unprofessional and rude during office hours and does not respond to emails. I tried my best to admire her, but she's only great as a person not as a prof

My biggest complaint: did not even grade 90% of the assignments until AFTER the final. I never missed class, and yet I saw she entered a zero for a quiz we took the 2nd week of school. Messaged her politely asking how this could have happened, never received a reply. It was too late anyway, as grades had been sent. Mastering assignments were a joke

I took her class and dropped. finally got a B with a diff professor. had to review her to help others decide. lots of hw. heavy lectures. tests are not easy, lab tests were extremely difficult and slim to no extra credit. take this if u don't work, ur sort of on your own here. her lectures are crystal clear. she's passionate about teaching.

Professor Byrd-Williams is an amazing professor. I got the grade I did because I slacked off but she was so helpful and was always there when I needed her. 10/10 would recommend. She does give a quiz at the beginning of every class to make sure youre studying

I understand that Anatomy is hard but this professor is ridiculous. She encourages her students to go to her office hours but she is so rude and unapproachable that people stay away from going. Her exams are nothing like her lectures. You're on your own throughout the entirety of this class.

She is a very sweet lady and loves biology. Also, she is very knowledgeable about cell biology. The exams were fairly easy. The lectures were pretty good except the last 5 chapters. The only con was that she did not grade most lab reports until after the final.

she's a 3.5. She's a great professor and loves bio. If you figure her out, you can ace her excessively long exams. I did. Tests run 2 hrs even tho class is 1.5. Her cons: many many formal labs, does not believe in letting anyone go early, and doesn't grade. Its a week after finals and she's still grading from the beg. of the semester.

Very heavy lectures EACH class. Quiz everyday as well. Exams are way too heavy and require memorizing over 3 very heavy chapters. Definitely think that should change.

Worst class ever! She'd have been a great drill sergeant. She has no sense of humor and goes through her lecture too fast. She loves giving quizzes every class. She covers one chapter a day so prepare to work a lot. I regretted taking her class.
