This was class pretty easy and while the lectures might be a bit boring, the subject is interesting. Wasn't much homework or papers, just a project/presentation at the end. EASY.

Walked up to him on one of the last day of classes to tell him that I couldn't do the discussion board submission for that week. Cracked his patented smile, chuckled, and said, "You won't have to worry about that at all. I tend to be a fairly easy grader for most of my assignments." #NEVERFORGET #CJ101WITHDOUGINANUTSHELL

Nice guy and all his experience is really interesting and knows his stuff, but he tends to tell the same stories over again in lectures. Tests are straight out of book resources and the answers are almost always word-for-word out of text outline he also provides. Same for exams, so pretty much zero need to go to class other than for attendance.

Dr. McKenzie's class was by far my favorite. He has a lot of expierence from the work field which makes his lectures interesting. He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is very friendly and willing to help anyone. After taking his class I am planning to pursue a minor in criminal justice.

Dry and long lectures. Too old to provide relevant teaching style. Does not show interest in student success. Grumpy. Must do much self teaching. Too bad more professors don't teach con. law...

Take another professor... He does not email back He shows up to class right on time so you can not ask questions prior to class starting. His lectures are long and dull. He know's his stuff, but not the best at teaching it. Take Kanonoshi. His power points do not help much for exams, and stem worksheets are not complete..

He's a really cool professor, has a ton of good stories and a ton of experience, really cool. Class was the exact same every time, one quiz per week online, 4 exams in class open note and a final online, all really easy if you pay attention to the lecture and read some of the book. Easy A would definitely take again.

McKenzie really cares about his students! The class material is pretty boring but it's required. The lectures are mandatory, and there's a lot of course work online. The exams and quizzes are tough, but he's very flexible!

Such a caring professor and he genuinely cares about his students. The class in not the most entertaining, but its a requirement. Exams are challenging, but they are online and you can use your notes. Dr. McKenize, is such a great guy and if you have any problems at all he will make it a point to make everything work out for you. take him!

Great professor! I loved his class. He was enthusiastic about teaching, and you can tell he has a passion for law. Very helpful and approachable. Open notes for tests, which aren't hard as long as you read the material.

Dr. McKenzie is a sweet man who meand well and I think people mistake him for being dry and senile. He is an extremely intelligent man but can be confusing in lectures sometimes. He gives students many tools to exceed, including giving question stems for the exams, open note exams, extra credit, and easy case briefs. Easy A if you put in any effort

Just reads the powerpoints to you with basically no additional information. Tests are open note, although that does not make them easy. Grade consists of tests and a few case briefs. Pretty boring teacher who isn't very helpful

Comment:
Incredibly disorganized. The exams were open notes, but his wording is very confusing so read every question very carefully. Go to class because he takes attendance and there are case briefings that are done in class and extra credit quizzes. Easy A, but if you actually want to learn the material, take it with someone else.
