I took his HIS199ONL and hes one of the most caring and lenient Professor. He understands you have a life outside of school and is supper understandable if you email him. He truly wants all his students to pass and will help you out. A lot of assignments but you can get through it, no exams, long final presentation and lets you turn work in late.

Took his online course offered at Niagara & it was okay. He's genuinely a nice guy; had personal issues & he emailed me, concerned how I didn't turn in work. A massive workload. He is very lenient with late work, no points deducted. No exams but there will be a final assignment. If you put in effort in his class, he'll give you good grades for it!

This online class is the most amount of work I have ever had to do, I have never had so much work for a gen ed in my entire life. It just simply is not worth the three credits, I thought about dropping and taking a different semester. He grades super easy and is super nice, just the work load is more than my nursing courses!

nice prof, gives out so much assignments and with lots of readings. you gotta read like 8-15 readings for each assignment which is weekly and you have to take notes on them and turn them in for a grade. for some assignments you have to make a presentation and record yourself. overall just too much work especially if you're taking 5 other classes.

I took his HIS199ONL class at Niagara University. Long story short, do not take this professor. This is supposed to be a 100 level class, yet there is more assignments/homework than all of my other classes combined. He grades stuff weeks, if not months later. There is clearly too much for him to handle.

I took his HIS199 class from Niagara University and it was fabulous. He will give you a specific guideline for everything and awesome feedback. Even if there are lots of things to do, there is no final or essay, but only discussion and making a final project. Please take his class. You will not regret.

I had him for HIS199 at Niagara University and is a decent professor, very nice and let me turn in my very first assignment late but such a HUGE workload!! I'm taking his online class so I don't know if that varies from his actual class but it's so hard to keep up. I have so much other HW to do and I have to work and all he does is assign so much.

DK is the man. he likes tupac and biggy. he also jiggles from enthusiasm when he talks. Im considering taking piano lessons from him i loved him that much. He was such a nice guy and knows everything. Sven Chopra is lame.

Good professor, 2 books that have to be read with essays for each of them, a movie review, and a final exam. Tests are all online, but they are not as easy as they sound. But def. not a bad professor.

hands down worst teacher at canisius. i dont know where he comes up with his test questions and even though it is open book half the class fails. class is so boring and his grading rubric is insanely hard. Kotlik should stick with high schoolers because he is just not smart enough to teach at a college level

Pretty nice guy! Lectures are interesting. Online tests! Open notebook quizzes are great but you still need to read the material to do well.

an easy history area studies. all tests are online-2 1/2 hours for 50 mc questions. i never studied. quiz each week, but they're all open notebook. the only bad part is the outside reading projects. he picks the most boring books in print, but its not hard to get a good grade.

Don't listen to the negative comments about Kotlik, they're bogus. Those students are idiots and don't know what they're talking about. Kotlik is the man. Online (open book) tests rock (you really shouldn't get anything less than an A on the tests), writing assignments are interesting, and class never runs longer than 1.75 hours.

DEFINITELY TAKE THIS! One night a week, usually only lasts 1 1/2 hours. There are weekly quizzes which require usually 2 chapters of reading (~60 pages) per week. There are also a couple of informal writing assignments but he seems to grade those fairly. Best thing ever: ONLINE TESTS. Plenty of time to look up every answer and do well.

Had him in high school and loved the class. He is a historical buff but makes the class entertaining. 3 online tests and 3 papers for the class. You usually only stay till 7:45pm and he offers extra credit. Very approachable guy.

Wouldnt recommend.his 3 online tests are very hard, even though there open book they will take u most of the 2.5hrs. count on reading 3 books and do a book report on them, if thats ur thing go 4 it or pay someone to do them but they are a pain. long boring books! and hes always changing them so u cant get someones from last semester.Be careful

If you have taken him before I do not recommend anymore. He has changed several things. Still has online tests but they are incredibly difficult now. Multiple answer questions have been led to not a single class test average over 80. Quizzes are also impossible. Class is boring as hell. This isnt high school anymore.
