Professor Kamas has been my favorite professor at UT by far! He explains everything in class so well and provides a bunch of examples. If you are a visual learner take accounting with Kamas. Class isn't required but go, he also doesn't care if you go to another class time.

Really nice guy, has a lot of dad jokes. Kamas isnt the problem with the course if you struggle, its more of accounting being a subject that is either super easy for you or super hard.

Kamas was a really good professor. I think one of my favorites at UT. Accounting, itself, however is hard, so be careful and study hard. The class is curved though.

I really struggled in this class, but I think Professor Kamas is what got me through it. He is an exceptional professor who is dedicated to seeing his students succeed. I found his course to be incredibly organized and filled with interesting and unique ways of presenting otherwise boring information. Practice exams were easier than real exams!!

Professor Kamas was by far the best professor I had during the 2021 MSI program. His love for teaching is evident by his frequent dad jokes and he never fails to explain problems in a light-hearted yet informational manner. His course is a bit challenging to get an A in for a non-business major, but with practice, it is easily doable.

Kamas is a SWEETHEART. He's so funny, and attendance isn't mandatory for Zoom. The lectures can be confusing, and the connect homeworks are hard. Overall, the content is not bad but the tests can be very tricky! HE writes them. KEEP UP with the content or suffer. Kamas is great though :)

I just took Dr. Kamas for the 2020 MSI program. It was all online which I think really made it hard to take the class. Even he said that. The tests are harder than the lectures. You have to read and watch youtube videos to really get the concepts. Kamas is hilarious and a very nice guy, but the class is just hard.

Professor Kamas was great, the accounting material was hard in general but he always kept it engaging. I took acc310f in MSI this summer and thought he was one of the best professors. Tests are not easy, you have to pay attention in class to understand the material.

I absolutely loved Professor Kamas. I took this course as a part of the MSI business minor, and he is absolutely hilarious. Super available for office hours and puts some homework questions on exams. You have unlimited attempts on the homework. I highly highly recommend!

ACC 311 in general can be a hard class. That being said, If you are a quick learner or know how to semi-teach yourself, Kamas is the best bet. He is definitely the most entertaining 311 teacher and I am pretty sure he is in-charge of writing the exams so I suppose there's no better prof. to help you prep for it than him.

Kamas is a great overall guy. Even his dad jokes can be killer sometimes. I however, feel as though as a professor, Kamas is a bit overrated. ACC 311 is a hard class that requires you to put in the time and effort to get the grade you want. Kamas does not go to in-detail with the lectures and reads off slides and is vague overall. Nice guy though

Such a funny guy- he made showing up for class easy. He's able to relate the information in fun and clever ways. You'll get to hear a lot of jokes about his love for coffee and other things! The class itself is standardized so you'll have the same tests/quizzes no matter who you take so TAKE HIM. Final is easier than final from ACC311.

I was really bummed to be taking accounting but having Kamas as a teacher really changed my attitude. He is super knowledgeable and makes his lecture easy to follow (not to mention really fun with his dad jokes). One of the few teachers I have had whose handouts are SUPER useful. Gives practice exams and is always up to talk accounting after class

Kamas is so awesome! I have no idea who gave him bad ratings at all. He is so deserving of all the best ratings possible. He is always so available and ready to answer any questions during office hours. He is so funny and entertaining and really conveys accounting in a way that is easy and interesting to understand. Please take classes with him!

An amazing professor, explains things really well and is really good at breaking stuff down that is overly complicated in the book. Don't bother reading the textbook unless you're super confused, he'll cover everything you need to know in class. Don't have to show up to your assigned section, printing out notes was really helpful

Although attendance isn't mandatory, it's much better to attend class than learn the material on your own. Kamas is a great professor and isn't boring (I feel like it just depends on if you like accounting or not & I don't but he makes it bearable) Most accounting 311/312 classes are pretty much the same. Use the practice exams given to you !!!

Kamas is amazing! I took him for 311 and 312 because he makes the material understandable and provides great handouts that match up well with the test. That being said, 312 is hard and you still have to put in a lot of work to do well. He makes classes fun by making jokes, & he is very knowledgeable on the material. I HIGHLY recommend him for acct!
