He knows his stuff really well. I took two courses with him, the first one being Urban development, which led me to take another course with him, Globalization. I definitely don't regret any of that. Super nice guy, funny too, would go out of his way to make sure that you understand the stuff he is teaching.

Super nice guy although lectures are not very organized and he likes to jump around a lot. also the English used in his slideshows is hard to follow as he is not too strong in it as well as our mark was based off of 3 things and two of those we do not have marks back for yet and it is way after the exam

I registered for this class as a backup and it ended up being my favourite course all year. The lectures aren't traditionally organized but taught in a way that makes sense to the over all concepts being explained. Super passionate, and helpful, he really knows his stuff and is more than happy to make sure you understand.

Marc is such a nice prof but holy moly he does not clearly present material. I took the Globalization course with him and it was challenging to follow along because his lectures did not have a clear path. The concepts were not organized in an easy to learn way so it took a lot of decoding to understand the material. The textbook assigned wont help.

Vachon's lectures can get dry and overbearing, so learn how to skim. He highlights the important stuff in class, but post his slides and all the test questions are come straight from them. He also gave us questions before the exam so we knew what to expect. Paper was super straightforward and he's available to help you with anything

Overall good prof. His powerpoints are extremely difficult to decipher though. His english language skills can sometime cause problems. He barely touches the textbook that he requires for the course.

I really enjoyed taking Globalization with professor Vachon. He gets really excited about the material and sometimes goes off on tangents, but they're always interesting and related to the lectures. I thought he did a great job of presenting very complicated concepts in an understandable way. I feel like I gained a lot from the course.

I had really high hopes going into this class. The first class he was very funny, the class was packed, I thought this was going to be a fun class. No. Boring! He is very charismatic but a VERY hard marker (well his TAs were), never gave any constructive criticism on how to improve. Marking seemed so random. He was all over the place. Learned zip!

Took him for Globalization, Cultural Geo and Urban Planning - he is a very good prof, but sometimes tends to use too many examples from Quebec. Not a problem really, but he has his quirks. Very approachable, fair marker, but you don't really need to go to class because everything's on the powerpoints. He is very hot for his age, too + his accent.

Pretty good guy. Fairly funny. Boring. A lot of the time he makes no sense. He will starts sentences and not finish them. The tests are very hard. I looked at the tests thinking " I have never seen most of this" he repeats the same phrases like "in that regard" One class I counted and he said "and so on" 118 times in one class.

OMG! He is still my favourate professor of all time. So much passion for what he teaches. He is partly uncomprehensible but his notes make up 4 it. You need to be sharp to get the most out of his classes and i find him super hot. Love listening to his voice to the point that i stop paying attention. May be an **** but so hot (i cant explain it

lectures can be a bit dry and boring. You really don`t need to go to class because the slide notes are self explanitory. He has a sarcastic sense of humour which I appreciated. He could encourage more class participation. Subject matter is very interesting.
