Comment:
A good professor if you are looking for an easy A. A bad professor if you have an accent while speaking and the occasional grammatical mishap in writing lab reports, which will lead you to getting called out in the middle of class. Expect a dry lecture if she doesn't let you out 30 minutes early.

Phillips mis graded my test 4 times for the same test. Some of her test questions are barely written in English. Goes on long tangents

I had her for gen chem and she does not teach well. Skips around.. doesnt give hw. You probably wont learn anything but make sure you know what to do for the quizzes and tests and youll be fine. She goes over everything again and again if you ask

I had this prof for lecture and she is so much better for lab! She expects your pre lab before lab everyday and will often give easy quizes about the previous lab and prelab reading. as far as the lab, she helps if you ask.

I don't think I learned anything in this class. She likes to skip over topics and not cover topics well. She just assumes you understand unless you speak up.

Comment:
The class was pretty bland and some of the topics weren't explained properly or clearly enough to the students so it was a little blurry. The class didn't really feel productive and covered less than an avg high school chem class. Make sure you study for the quizzes because they can tank your grade fast. Also, study for the final.

I gave this professor such a low rating because she just doesn't care about her students. I only had her for a lab, and she graded my labs wrong (which she openly acknowledged), took forever to give back labs, and was never available after class to answer questions. I can't begin to imagine what I would do if I had her for a lecture.

Comment:
Professor Phillips is very confusing. Does little to explain what she's actually teaching and when asked to explain, does a poor job of doing so. If she doesn't dismiss class 35 minutes early, her lectures are dry and dull. Don't attempt to check your phone, because she'll go on a unnecessary tangent about it. DON'T BUY THE BOOK! Use a PDF instead

She's nice enough, but she has no business teaching classes. There were many instances where she taught the material incorrectly, which just made the class more difficult.

Comment:
Guided notes material that will be on test. Her explanations are often confusing so it is best to read the sections pertaining to the guided notes. Sometimes she assigns a problem due next class from the notes and at the end of the semester if you did the problems/worksheets, they equate to a 1% boost in your grade per assignment completed.

She was very confusing, but the lab itself was pretty easy. She's a nice person, but I do not recommend her.

Not very clear, tends to confuse you more than help you; however, if you ask her to make something easier she most likely will. For example, my class convinced her to let us work in small groups for the final.

In my opinion, nice professor, but can be hard to understand. Not a good professor for a student who hasn't had a formal chemistry class before.

The professor would have announced quizzes, but it would be unclear to me and my classmates what the quizzes would be on. Other than that, classes were relatively easy and laid back.

Had to take for Chem 361-364 (Physical Cehmistry). Absolutely worthless! Did not learn a thing Would spend 2hrs lecturing and the next day tell us to forget everything because what she taught was incorrect the day prior. A complete waste of time! Has mental issues.
