My favorite professor yet! She was super clear with every assignment, was always willing to help you if you ask for it, and made sure you understood the material. Definitely buy the textbook, you will need it for the exams. I would definitely take another class with her!

Dr Hedlund is the most intelligent professor in the crim. dep. She always pushes her students to strive to their best ability. She has drilled APA format into my head which i'll be forever grateful for. The bad ratings on here are prob from students who never went to class and didn't try at all. If you show effort and improvement, she respects that

I have made it a point to keep taking Dr Hedlund for every class available my last four years at Central. She can assign 'hard' work but you just have to do the work. Shes such a fair grader. Her teaching style is immaculate and she's always bringing in good examples, playing devils advocate, and keeping the class engaged. Hands down best prof.

Amazing professor. She is incredibly kind and understanding and has a wealth of knowledge about the course. 1 presentation, midterm/final a few short papers and a final paper - all easy. She let us redo a 6 point answer midterm and accepted a rough draft so you could fix any mistakes or help from her suggestions, brought my paper from 90 to 99.

Dr. Hedlund is a fantastic professor. I came into CRM322 hearing that it was one of the hardest classes in my major. She did a great job at having people understand the content. Always there to help out when needed. Offered extra credit opportunity at the end of the semester. Definitely recommended!

I've had Dr. Hedlund for CRM478 and CRM322. She is very knowledgeable and makes class fun. You definitely learn a lot in CRM322. The tests are pretty easy. Her film class CRM478 is awesome. It's a hybrid so you have to actually pay attention to due dates to pass. 15 movies, 3 papers, and posts every week. That's it. I recommend both classes.

Professor Hedlund is wonderful. She is as brilliant and very dedicated instructor. Her lectures are well organized and easy to follow. She tries her best to offer students a helping hand and appreciates those who reach out to her for help. Her exams are challenging but if you are willing to dedicate time to studying, you will do well.

Shes a great prof, very well organized class from beginning to end. Several papers 3-4 pages long, midterm, final and a presentation. take down all the info on the powerpoint slides and you'll ace the exams. Gives quizzes but usualy hints when they are and drops the lowest two or uses them as extra credit points towards your grade. take this class

Overall, a pretty good class. No exams, just short weekly papers where you analyze a case in regards to whatever ethical dilemma you are reading that week. Participation is a big part of the grade so make sure you show up and are ready to discuss. A final presentation on your own choice of a case at the end. Super easy and straightforward.

Hands down one of the worst professors I've ever had. I took Research Methods with her, big mistake. For the most part she knows the information, however, you will have to work hard for a good grade. As a person she is boring and unpleasant. I was one of the top participators in class and I received a 510 for participation.

Her Ethics class was very good. As long as you do all the work, you'll be just fine. Make sure to participate too, she grades on that. She was very good in this class, but for Research Methods, that class wasn't as good. Her tests aren't too bad as long as you study, but there is a far amount of work. Def. take Princ and Ethics in CJ with her tho!

She is a horrible teacher! She is never happy or smiles. Always serious and treats her students like they are in high school. Her test are much harder than what is on her slides or talks in class. Don't like her attitude as a teacher.

She is terrible and never seems happy. Looks like she is mad and serious all the time. I don't like that attitude in a professor. Her test are much! harder than what she actually teaches you. She also treats her students like its high school.

Best professor I have had in the department and at CCSU. I was so scared to take he class because of negative ratings, but she is the best. She will push you to work to your full potential, but it will be worth it. She wants to not only do well in her class, but be able to understand concepts and actually learn NOT JUST CRAM FOR A TEST!

I dont know why people didnt like her, I had her for research methods and was scared cause of all the bad reviews. To my surprise i enjoyed class with her, Im an average student and got a B, so nothing surprising there, do your work and go to class and you will be fine. Just had her for internship class as well and very helpful.
